What's the big thing with boost energy? I have 2 and I don't really like them and everybody talks about them like you have to have them in your deck, WHY?

Well, there are several good uses for the card. To start for nearly any colorless pokemon (evolved) slap this on it and it will be able to use nearly any attack. Light Dragonite inparticular uses this card like a charm. Back in Unlimited Wigglytuff can abuse this card! getting super Energy Removaled doesn't hit it as hard, I mean you can have it fully charged again in one turn! Any one else like to comment!!

The othe purpose for boost energy is for pokemon that has the power to turn any energy attached to another type. (e.g. Base Charizard, Expedition Tyranitar).
A recycle enegy and one boost can make you use fire spin for two turns rather than four. It is the similar that of DCE but recycle can returned to your hand and since boost is discarded to the turn you attached it it is not a lost when using the fire spin attack.
Boost energy is like a surprise to an opponent. It can do the unexpected.
There other evolved pokemon who has (***) enery requirements (What I coul I think now is Beedrill for Base and LCII and AQ Water Lanturn)

I use the card heavily in my Light Golduck/Light Ledian deck. It works very well there. It basically gives a huge speed advantage. It's not for every deck, though. Only those with large colorless energy costs can really make use of it.

example of using 1 boost energy
1st turn attach an energy to charmander 2nd evolve to charizard using breeder then use boost energy then fire spin

Funny trick I found.
Attach Boost to Blissey (AQ) and flip for its Power. It removes 3 counters if heads, and when used with Light Dragonite can stay, and with AQ Espeon can just return to hand

THe only reason to use this card is to combine it with L.Dragonite. put it active and it becomes a triple colorless enrgy that stays. And if you use L.Dragonites attack it can't be removed by an attack. Which is really the only say to remove it (in modified). Yes there is SR2 but thats almost completly useless.

Boost energy is combo with Light Dragonite to provide long term use.Combo with AQ Chansey also not bad.
Remember Boost Energy can be attached to an evolved Baby(Basic which evolve from baby,not put from hand).
