Before, I dont use the ER and SER cards in my deck because I'm a too kind of a person to use them. But I get clobbered (not all the time) by cards such Sneasel and Rockets Zapdos and others. Now I felt getting a hard time to build a deck without them. Any suggestions on what will I consider in not putting ER and SER in the deck?
BTW, I asked this because the predominant format here in my home country is unlimited.
Thanks!!! [ July 17, 2003, 04:41 PM: Message edited by: Raymond Lalic ]

Well, first off, neither of them are legal in modified play, so that could be a reason not to use them
Really, unless you have a population of decks relying on special energy and/or high numbers of energy, I personally find no use for ER/SER. It works best when it frustrates your opponent most.

It is not for a blind man to give an opinion on colors, Dark Llama. =/
ER and SER are ALWAYS a must in Unlimited. They are EXTREMELY useful cards, you should abuse them as MUCH as you possibly can. (Especially in a 'Fable deck) These are very VERY powerful control and disruption cards.
Remember, while Modified is more about Pokemon, Unlimited is about unbelievable trainer abuse and disruption, ER and SER are among the best for this. [ July 17, 2003, 11:44 PM: Message edited by: Maverick Hunter Zero ]

you dont nead them. Put in No Removal Gym and Slowking. That makes them pay for there dumb boring engery removal (by discarding 2 cards) then you get to flip and maybe return that card back to the top of there deck, besides slowking is very nice agenst any deck. If you dont nead alot of traners put in chous gym insteed or put in Ecogym. Boring haymakers will find there downfall to be evoultion cards and other insainity, try using Brock Pokemon and Brocks Protection, ha cant hurt engery now suckers... Brocks ninetails can become ANY evolve... so there you go, you dont HAVE to have these cards in your deck, if your smart enough.

I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

I always use at 6 ER and SER. Daniel uses 7.
We use Igglybuff to neutralize Slowking and our own Stadium cards (especially Pokemon Tower) to neutralize other Stadium Cards. We love removing those Recycle Energies with our Energy Removals.
Yes, it does get boring. But, we do win.
When we play at our club, we often use modified decks against other player's unlimited decks--just so long as they don't use ER and SER. In other words, in our humble opinion, the ER and SER cards are what make Unlimited decks sooooo powerful.

I only use 6 of each when they come to me in draft. Otherwise, 6 total.
BTW, without ER and SER, your only chance of beating Sneasel is a first turn knockout of a baby. Just my opinion.
