Please confirm if my understanding about the basic poison rules are correct:

1. A player does *not* get an option to flip a coin to try and remove poison after each turn.

2) If a player attacks with an attack that also poisons he first resolves any damage from the attack and then adds one more damage at the end of this same turn for the poison.

Thanks,
Eric

1. Correct

2. Poison is applied between turns, starting between the turn of the attack and the other player's next turn.

You are correct sir.

1) The only conditions that require a flip between turns is Sleep and Burn. Poison is only removed by Evolving (or devolving), benching, or taking the Pokémon out of play (ie. KO and discarding, scoop up and placing it back in your hand, shuffling it back into your Deck, etc.)
{edit: Opps [Eek!] , almost forgit about curing. Thanks for filling it in BJJ763 }

2) Correct. Damage for poision is added after the base damage form the attack. The extra 10 damage is a result of being poisoned, not a result of the attack that cuased the poisoned condition. Also, the 10 Damage from poison is added after every players turn. So a poisoned Pokémon would take 20 dmage before your turn (or 40 in TMP).

You forgot about "curing" - Full Heal, Full Heal Energy, and Miracle Berry (which can be triggered before the Poison damage can take place!).
