What are common stratagies to deck your opponent?

I've been curious in making a deck to use against a couple of guys at my league who both use very fast decks but tend to eat away at their own decks so I figured it'd probably be best use that as their weakness!

I already beat one by making him deckout but it was too close!

My girlfriend is very good at decking out people with what she refers to as her Alakazam deck. She uses Alakazam to dance damage around, Blaine's (I think) Vulpix to heal damage away, and Mr. Mime out front. The combo goes that Mime can only take 20 damage, you Alakazam it to 2 Blaine's Vulpixes and heal it off. This lock can be deadly. She also has Sabrina's Golduck in the deck. If damage counters do start to pile up she uses its Damage Shift to move them all to her opponent. She also has Dark Dragonair/Dragonite in the deck to get the evolutions and their appropriate basics moving.

The only decking strategy I saw that worked consistantly was a Chansey/stall, Tickle Machine/Imposter Oak deck. However, cards like Cleffa, Elm, Gambler easily overcome almost any attempts to force your opponent to deck.

Decking strategies usually happen as a result of excessive drawing by your opponent. The MD GC final was won when one player played too many Wraths and his opponent throw out a baby to prevent him from automatically Eeeeeeek'ing.

Generally speaking, decking also requires a stall strategy. Stall tradegies don't do well in timed games.

Nevertheless, if time is not an issue, the Chansey/stall deck I mentioned above was the best decking strategy I ever witnessed in an unlimited tournament (before Cleffa and Elm were available).

Don't rely on decking unless you absolutely HAVE to. Don't be like me and deck in finals of a GC. If your opponent's deck is really small, and you're on the ropes, you may as well stall. Otherwise, once they get the idea that you want to deck them, Cleffa + Big Hand = I'm not decking, but you can =/

1 Base Mewtwo
4 Nightly Garbage Run
4 Metal Energy
4 Computer Search
47 Psychic Energy

Everytime you dont get a basic pokemon to start your opponent can draw 2 xtra cards. Everyone i know usually draws the 2 everytime. Just keep Barriering with the Mewtwo and Computer searching for metal energy and you're safe. Until someone Swift attacks you....but not many people use Yanma or the Electabuzz that can Swift.

[Evil Smirk] Stupid deck aint it?

Moltress Stalls are awsome!!! Cleffa's and Elms are stubborn and refuse to lie down and let it work as well, but Decks that rely on heavy Drawing, unless they actually pay attention to what you are doing, there heavy drawing will allow you to get an upper hand.

Why use Erika when you can use Blaines Quiz #3?? Name an attack like Eek, Sputter, Scrunch, Meditate, ect, that everyone wil almost always know (and unconsiously guess right , darn) and be forced to draw 3 cards, ulike Erika that says you/opponent may draw up to. It say simply they draw 3 cards (no more, no less). Of course I use both, When I discovered BQ3 I subbed them for my Comp Errors

A great staller is Promo Iggly. A couple of Metals, a Focus Band and this baby is STALL all the way. I got lucky enough to stall almost an entire game by simply making my oponent flip twice just to attack. he managed to burn through his deck without being able to attack my 2 loley little Iggly's only 2 times throughout the game. YAY!
