Okay here is the question. What is the ruling on stadiums? Can you flip twice for the same stadium if played again, and can you play a stadium that is already in play?

The reason i ask is a friend of a friend sayed he couldn't flip for the energy stadium he just played after flipping for the one that was already in play. This was an older ruling, but was it brought back?

Also for those of you with an E-reader check out the word Stadium in the dictionary. (Scan any stadium, and hit A on the highlighted word, Stadium). It states that if a Stadium is in play, you are not allowed to play a Stadium of the same name.

Please help, this is realy irking me.

I believe that once a stadium is in play, you can use its effect as often as the card allows. If, say, a Healing Fields is in play, and you flip a tails, you cannot use THAT healing fields again that turn. BY playing another Healing Fields i nthe same turn would let you use it again(but for the first time on the new card). This has been ruled i nthe past.

31-7

Kage Ha!
Dark Scizor

Elm, Oak, Cleffa and Copycat are archetypes.

Yukai na Shi ni yotte Ryu
Pleasant Death by way of Dragon
25-8

just seems to me they dont test these profecors to well... having said that grumble.

you can play a statum of the same name.
you can do whatever the first statum card says, then if you play a new one, you may use that one.

you could get the effect of a healing feilds by using it, playing a new one, and using it again, same goes if you did a Dark Porygone2's power in order to get a difernt statum into play, you could use its effect the moment it entered play.

So, with 4 Engery Statums in your hand and 4 Dark Porygon2 in play and an Engery Statum out you could flip for the engery statum, play the second one, flip, play the next one, and so on, then you could bring them all back with Dark Porygon2 and do it agian. (thats 9 flips +4 for the power for those not counting thats 13 heads and 13 possible engery) there you go.

And thats the way it works.

Erica total 24, thats right, 24.
Dunsprace total 41.
I've gotten 98 on that Machoke at work game. I beat Driving Corasola.
I almost beat the record in Hold Down hip hop. I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

Porygone3, in your situation you'd have an illegal deck, since you have 5 Energy Stadium [Wink] [Razz]

Hey Porygone3, I am offended, I know quite a bit about the rulings, up til right before Expedition came out. In fact there is still very little I dont know on rulings. I kept as up to date as possible without a PC, but my friends friend was addiment on this ruling and not being online , I wanst sure if it was reversed, I searched the conpendium 1st of course, and found nothing yesterday. I know back when "Once per turn" Stadiums came out it was ruled only once per turn, then overridden and stated 1 per turn per playe Stadium.

Also, the Stadium rule I reffered to was taken from the E-card Reader when I swiped Apricorn Forrest, and then used the dictionary for the highlighted word Stadium, and it stated that "When a Stadium card is in play, you are not allowed to play a Stadium card of the same name." Of course this is the same E-reader that calls Elctrode a Magniton not once but twice on the same card!!!

On a lighter note, 9 flips is legal if your opponnent played the original, then you played 4 more and got 4 Dark Poris to flip heads too.

Spectreon: Current ruling is, as you surmise, that you get to flip for each Stadium that is played and you can play a stadium to replace one of the same name.

Now, given that MT Pat got overruled by the e-reader on Strength Charm, who knows if TPC will suddenly alert WotC to a "Game Mechanic", that is nowhere stated in existing rulebooks (such as the "nothing adds to bench damage" mechanic), and the ruling will be reversed.

For now, however, flip and flip again.

And maybe the leaning tower of Pisa... [Wink]

I wouldn't worry about it, anyway.

I was refering to the possible statum card they had out (your oppenent could have one out, and you could have 4 in your hand)
and I'm not intending to "offend" the profecors, its just thats one of those rullings thats been around since Gym Heros. And thats almost 2 or 3 years now? I also think a weekly test should be mailed. I think its kinda of funny how all the answers to the test can be found on the web page if you read the dci rulls (the only ones I missed) But then again I also dont think they should allow pro's under the age of 18 to run anything, but then again, that also leads into my disblife that they droped 15+ (that should have been 14-17 and 18+ if you ask me) since alot of players are older, and frankly I dont want someone younger then I am judging my events, but thats just me.

So to clarify...If there is a Healing Fields in play, you flip, do the result and then can Play Another Healing Fields and flip again? Just clarifying to us simple-minded folk that can only deal with 2 cards at a time... [ROFL]

CmonIWanaPLaYa, yes, if I had out a Heling Fields, I could flip. Then play another Healing Fields that same turn, then flip for the new Healing Fields.
