Will the damage of the playful punch be reduced by 10 if the Defending Pokemon have a Metal Energy (neo1) attached to it ???

Please help [Big Grin]

Yes. Metal Energy says "damage done," but says nothing about it being from an attack.

Every time I think I can't say anything stupider, I prove myself wrong. Maybe I should just stop thinking.

We can only rule on English cards using current rules (pre-ADV), and based on those rules, Metal will reduce the damage done or received, depending on which Pokemon it is attached to. It does not matter what triggered that damage, an attack, a power, or a card being attached.

This applies to "damage done", not to "damage counters placed", of course.
