I don't know if someone already asked this, so I'll just go ahead and ask...

Expedition's Tyranitar's Poke-Body is Dark Aura, which reads, "All Energy attacked to Tyranitar is [Darkness] Energy instead of its usual type."

This is great for it's attack, but reading up on Darkness Energy, it says, "If the Pokemon Darkness Energy is attached to does damage with an attack (after applying Weakness and Resistance), the attack does 10 more damage."

My question is two fold. Do the energy cards attched to Tyranitar deal extra damage with each attack? And if so, if you have minimum of 4 energy cards, does that deal 40 extra damage, or only 10? Thanks in advance; hope someone can help me clear this up...

The result of that adventure was that Dane caught the bubonic plague, Shane had no initiative, Peter did the wooden chick, and Chris shudders at the word "tome." And Meepo died.

Nope. Darkness energy is a basic energy type. There's no such thing as a basic Darkness energy card -- the card itself is special (and adds the +10) but the energy itself does not.

What, like the pro-archetype attitude is supposed to be restricted to THIS company, and THIS TCG?
All card games run on archetypes. Magic is 90% archetypes. YGO is 90% archetypes. Pokemon was, for the most part, all archetypes before and during MF2. Pokemon will be archetype-based during MF3. Pokemon will be archetype based when it is under Nintendo.

Viva la unoriginality!

No. You get the extra damage ONLY when you use the Special Energy cards that has the text that SAYS you get the damage. The extra damage comes from the card, not from the energy.

For that matter, if you attach a metal energy card to it, it will provide darkness but still have the metal energy effect.

OK ... so then, to clear up the LAST PART of this question ...

Say I have 4 Darkness energy attached - do I get to inflict 40 extra damage, or just ten?
