Is that sound like a good idea putting those two cards together in a deck?? My friend suggested that kind of idea and it sounds nice. Has anyone come up with a deck yet??

It's easier just to play Rain Dance Blastoise and AQ Espeon,

Kage Ha! Dark Scizor 8-0

AQ espeon splashes well with alot of pokes, and Politoed is a good example. I don't want to rat out his deck idea, so I won't mention his name, but there's someone on the pojo ladders who uses exactly this deck, though for some reason, when I played him, he ran no warp energy, which when I think about it, seems to be the biggest advantage: Get the water onto one politoed, have another on the bench, and pickup/putdown the warp energy every turn to switch them and do 70 every time. That, of course, is in addition to any pokemon centering you could do as a result of the politoed's first attack and espeon's power. If you do add the AQ espeon, make sure to add a few psychic energy, too, just in case. Besides, they not only act as energy, but also a free mini-pokemon breeder fields for those energy evolution eevee. 2-in-1 combo for a card ain't bad.
Cheers,

also this combo works well with nurse because you take it off then nurse and put it back for 70 next turn.

If I had more SR cards, i mighta come up with this. I was too busy concentrating on cards I did have (no Politoeds for me ) Anyways, cool idea for a deck. Run Breeder for Toed, 15 or so energy, Espy line, this has potential to be great deck. Definitely need Warp Energy. 3/3 on Nurse and Center, card draw, and you have a deck. Cleffa and tyrouge round out pokemon for the deck. Man I need some Politoeds!!!!

Cheers,
I seem to remember that you can't use Eevee's energy evolution unless you use it by attaching an energy from your hand. Not one that is already in play.
Also, if you take all the energy off, then nurse, you'd have to sudden growth the same turn, before doing Energy splash for 70. So in reality it would be every second turn for 70. Hopefully you aren't up against Buzz or especially Ampharos. [ June 06, 2003, 09:21 PM: Message edited by: procrastination_alley ]

yes, But with High HP, You can place all the energy back for the most part, and use 2nd attack to power up back up help. With Warp Energy, you never pay retreat cost. so even skipping a couple of turns to re-apply energy shouldnt hurt it, and whats Buzz gonna do, a whopping 80 with a heads flip, by then you are KOing it and powering a second and or third Politoed.

procrastination:
Yeah, you're right, you've got to attach the psychic from your hand, but I wasn't trying to suggest that you'd do otherwise. Running a few psychic energy would allow espeon to attack in situations of need, and would allow the energy evolution eevee the chance to find its espeon evolve card quicker. Perhaps you thought I meant that the politoed would move the psychic to a benched eevee as part of its attack. That, I think, is the impossible part: I believe the 'toed can only move water energy with its 3rd attack. You can, however, attach any type of basic energy to 'toed with its first attack.

Politoed - 110 HP Stage 2 - Poliwhirl Weakness: Lightning No Resistance Retreat: [CC]
[C] Sudden Growth () Attach any number of Basic Energy cards from your hand to Politoed. [WCC] Frog Hop (30+) Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage. [WWCCC] Energy Splash (70) Take 2 Water Energy cards attached to Politoed and attach them to 1 or 2 of your Benched Pokemon. (You may attach both Energy cards to the same Pokemon or one each to two Pokemon.) If you have no Benched Pokemon, ignore this effect.

I constructed a deck with it, but it didn't do so well at our Super Battlezone dispite doing very well at our gym. If you would like some ideas, you can go back a ways in the deck forum and find a few based on Politoed. Here's a list of the ones I found:
Polixtoad's Wrath Politoed's Wrath Polix Double the Polies! Double the fun! Frosken
Hope it works out well for you.
