Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer......

If a Plus Power is attached to Chansey and Chansey's Double-Edge attack is used, is Chansey's damage 80 or 90 (since 90 is what the opponent will get hit with)???

I think Chansey only gets hit with 80 because that's what the card says, but others are saying otherwise....

Please help... I'm trying to resolve an argument.

Had you been using strength charm, you'd be hit for 90, but since you're using Plus Power, you only add to the defending.

From the compendium:

Q. Electabuzz does Thunder Punch with a Plus Power and he flipped tails does it do 20 too Electabuzz?
A. Nope, PlusPower only adds to damage done to the Defending Pokémon. (June 22, 2000 WotC Chat, Q197)
