So, I ran a tourney with Sealed Rocket Decks...a pure display of technical skill...no boosters, no energy, no nuthin...just Devastion and Trouble.

My question is...if Player A's pokemon is asleep and PLayer B ends his turn. Player A then draws a card...can Player A still flip to wake up? Also..if Player A..after drawing...played an Energy, would he still be able to flip? (if the first scenario would allow him to flip.)

I'm confident he cannot flip...I just need to know with absolute confidence

PS (I allowed play to continue with Player A being able to flip on that occassion on the stipulation he flipped correctly for the remainder of the game)

Of course he flips.
It's a required action and I'd give BOTH players a caution if it repeats. It is both player's responsibility to make sure mandatory actions take place.

In the place I play at, if a player does that...he wouldn't be able to flip. But when I am playing with anybody, and the person draws a card before flipping, I will let them flip. Come on, we must not be sore losers. [Smile]

Scyther is a Grass Pokemon, Scizor is not(HAHAHA!!!)

Think of Rocket Snorlax. It would be to the player's benefit to "forget" to flip.

You can't not do required actions.

Now, if the game had gone past the turn, then it would be too late to flip, but if was still in the turn following the forgotten flip, then flip he must.
