Topic: When is the Metal Energy Removed?

This is a question of WHEN a special energy card gets removed in regards to calculating damage. The situation is Neo 3 Kingdra, attacking using Twister (see text below) and opponents active is a Base Chansey with 2 Metal Energy attached. As per the text of the attack, two coin tosses were made, resulting in two heads. Had the flips resulted in two tails, the attack would done no damage. Are the Metal Energy cards removed BEFORE the damage is calculated or AFTER?
Attack 2: WWCC Twister 50
Flip 2 coins. For each heads, choose 1 Energy card attached to the Defending Pokemon, if any, and discard it. If both are tails, this attack does nothing (not even damage).

Effects of attacks are calculated Aafter damage, so it is reduced to 30 damage.

Unless otherwise specified, damage is done first.
Some attacks remove Poketools before doing damage, but they specify that order in the attack wording.
