Hey! I have some questions about poison, asleep,
confuse, paralyze, burn and freeze.

1)Which things go together?
Like confuse + poison.

2)When do the pokepowers end working?
Like by poison.

3)What does freeze do?

Answer this and I will be eternally graitfull.
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!

1) Asleep, Confused, and Paralyzed all override each other. So if an Asleep Pokémon becomes Paralyzed, it's no longer Asleep just Paralyzed. Take one of these and you can add Posion and Burn to it. (You can also add Counter Effects like Char, Paint, and Lightning Rod, but those are not Special Conditions).

2) Powers stop working when the Pokémon has a Special Condition - Posioned, Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed, or Burned unless the Power specificly states that it still works when effected by a Special Condition or is a subtype of Pokémon Power called a PokéBody Power, these do not get turned off by Special Conditions.

3) Freeze does not currently exist in the TGC game. Though it could be an attack name....

I thought that PokeBodies DID get turned off by a special condition? Is there a ruling on this that I missed somewhere. LMK please!!

Q. I was wondering if you can exactly define the differences between a Poke-BODY and a Poke-POWER, i have heard a few different things going around
A. Those are just clarifications for the players benefit. They are both Pokemon Powers (menaing Muk would shut them both off). A Poke-BODY only affects the Pokemon that has it and is continuous. A Poke-POWER is an activated Pokemon Power that could have all sorts of effects. Poke-BODYs are not shut off when the Pokemon has a Special Condition on it as well. (Sep 5, 2002 WotC Chat, Q165)

And regarding freeze:

quote:
Piloswine
Pokémon card
LV. 36 #221
{W}
80 HP
Stage 1 Pokémon
Evolves from Swinub
Put Piloswine on the Basic Pokémon
Weakness: {G}
Resistance: {L} -30
Retreat cost: {C}{C}{C}
{W}{W} Freeze Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon can’t attack. (Benching or evolving the Defending Pokémon ends this effect.) 10
{W}{W}{W} Blizzard Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. If tails, this attack does 10 damage to each of your own Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) 30
