Smeargle promo has paint attack.
flip and you choose a color type to change the defending pokemon.
Maybe I'm overthinking this.
If he makes an electric guy grass then

a) he uses his fire guy to zap him knowing that grass is weak to fire. (but fighting is sometimes weak to grass and sometimes weak to psychic, so how does that work?)

b) makes the person psychic when all the energy in his deck is water, making the card unplayable and useless until it is scooped up or knocked out.

I need a little enlightening on this, not sure how to use the card and want to get it right.
Thanks as always for everyones help

I am pretty sure about this, but I may be wrong.

a: The defending Pokemon's TYPE only is changed. Weakness, Resistance, and other things are left alone. (ie: you are wrong)

b: Although type is changed, the attacks still require the same type of energy.

Now, I have some ways to use it.
a) This is effective against Pokemon u are resistant to. Change the defending Pokemon to your resistance. This is good in a stall deck, where a lot of Pokemon have resistance.
b) Do NOT use this against Venomoth. It's Pokemon Power changes its type, basically reversing the attack.
c) Look in the archives at wizards.com/pokemon for more.

Like Postdog2Gengar says, Pint only changes Color (types), not any other stat-energy requirements, Weakness/Resitances, etc. are left alone.

A good use for this is a)setting up a Mean Look victim for Murkrow, and b)ruining Pokemon that rely on Dark and Metal Energy. A Dark Type (but not a Dark in Name) Pokemon will take Darkness damage between turns if you change it into a non-Dark type. I've done this to Houndoom before-the version needed Darkness Energy for both it's attacks, I believe. So they took damage between rounds, then had to rereat a few tmes to ditch their Darkness Energies. My opponent also had to wait until some Rainbow Energies popped up so they could attack with it safely. If your opponent powers up a Steelix with all four Metal Energy, change it to a non-Metal type. Now they must flip to do a wopping 10 damage! This can also mess up Pokemon that use Metal to reduce self damage-it will throw their game off for a bit. It may sound wonderful for Chansey to do 80 with only 40 self damage, but it stinks when you aren't prepared for it.They get 3 Double-Edges after they run out of Gold Berries. That sounds like a lot-but it really isn't.
