1. If my active is umbreon and the defending pokemon is a baby would I have to flip to attack the bench with Feint Attack?
2. If me and my opponent both have babies for actives, and mine is a cleffa, would I have to flip for eeek? It isn't attacking the defending baby.

yes and yes, your attacking the babies in both situations, but in #1, your doing the effect to the bench, and in #2, your effect is on you...your still attacking though

Thank's for your help, the baby rule can get confusing.

its a game mechanic. although i guess you could call it a rull. how is it confusing? There is no way around it; if its actave agenst you must flip before you do anything else for your attack.
Swift & Feint attack only ingore Pokemon Powers, Poke-Powers, And PokeBodys and trainer cards IE Defender, Weakness Guard. However Focus Band will still triger as you cant ingore its effects; you would have to use "PLUNDER" from the Dark Cube (and some other pokemon)
With the 2 active rull... well- there is just way to meny ways to look at that, with just 1 Baby is active it would seem to me that you would have to flip in order to attack as Baby Pokemon state:
When this pokemon is active your oppenent flips before they do anything else required to attack.
It says nothing about attacking that Baby Pokemon...
Uggh... 2 vs 2 battles will nead rulls clarifyed.

With so many new rules it's hard to keep up sometimes, The league has changed a lot of the rules to, This is why it's best to ask and be sure.

To clarify the new 2 vs 2 rule when one of the Defenders is a Baby, you would only need to flip for the Baby rule when you declare the attack is on the Baby. That is spelled out in the new rules.

Also note, if both defenders are a baby in 2vs2 there is only 1 flip. Rules clearly state, in order, though maybe not exact wording....
1) Choose 1 of your active Pokemon 2) Choose an attack from that Pokemon 3) Choose which Pokemon you wish to attack 4) do all effects of that attack
so if both are babies, and you want to use an attack to hit both like Phanpys Trembler, you would choose it, choose Trembler, then flip for whichever baby you were declaring attack against, and then upon flipping heads (for baby) apply the effects on both active babies
