dark blastoise is only good when you have a water, a metal, and a dark attached to him then you can user his second attack, do 40, don't hit yourself, and have a chance for the opponent not being able to attack next turn so he is good if you get all that on him. on the ather hand dark gator is only good if you run slowking for a look down on drawing and possible nrg removal, but that kindof slows him down but its worth it if you get it out. so they both have drawbacks it just depends on what your more comfortable with. in my opinion i would go with dark gator/slowking its better if you can get the slowkings out. it must work it did win worlds. but hey its up to you.

Since this does not meet the requirements of the Deck Help and Strategy, i'll be moving this to Single Card Strategies and Rulings.

In my experience, Dark Blastoise is quite good. At our local league, we see almost no fire decks for Modified. Why? Because my friend hs an very quick Dark Blastoise Deck. Dark Blastoise (henceforth referred to as "DB") has amazing speed. Two water enegies are all that it needs for its first attack. Now, those energies only yield an intial 30 dmage, which sounds terrible. But The next turn, you add another energy, and that ttack now does 50. Next turn, a fourth Water Energy now lets you do a reliable 70 damage a turn. In a properly set up deck (Rocket's hideout or Healing Fields as the stadium-plenty of Gold Berries for self healing, and darkness Enrgy for even more damage), it gets sick. its other attack, Rocket tackle, is also nice. After you get enough darkness energies on it, you can also use it as well-just slap on a Gold Berry to help soak up the damage. I just find the first attack's reliability better. Oh, and if you are wondering, my friend supports it with Neo Genesis Wooper (putting the Kibosh on Lightning types) , Clefa (for obvious Draw Power), and Dark Dragonair, for extra evoling speed.
good Luck:)
