Can I get a baby pokemon with this card?
On top of the baby card it says "Baby pokemon counts as a Basic pokemon."

Doubt it. WotC has apparently ruled that, in the case of Trainer cards, Baby Pokemon can only be chosen if the card specifically uses the words "Baby Pokemon."

That is not correct.
Yes you can chooseto keep the baby pokemon.

Baby Pokemon count as Basic Pokemon. So unless it specifically goes against Babies, wherever it says Basic Pokemon can apply to Babies as well.
