The original Fishing Engine was nice, but here is a new vamped up edition of GE styling! (Mods, please lock the other Fishing Engine Thread, Link is above!)
Well with the introduction of GE, the Fishing Engine just gets better! Claydol just makes things more consistent and allows fro extensive drawing power! Here is the current list I have been working with:
Stage 1 Standard Fishing Engine Base:
Pokemon 14-16
2 Baltoy
2 Claydol
Trainers 29
3 Steven's Advice
2 Team Galactic's Wager
4 Pokedex
3 Pokenav
3 Master Ball (Bebe’s Optional)
3 Dusk Ball (Bebe’s Optional)
4 Great Ball
3 Windstorm
2 Switch/Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
Energy 14-16
With this new form of GE engine, things get a whole lot faster. You might wonder at first glance as to why there is Claydol with Steven's. Well, with most of the cards being straight trainers, you can abuse both. Start with Claydol loading you up, if you get a Steven's, burn some of the trainers and then reload again. More than likely you will have 2 Claydol down, so this won’t be that difficult! Wager is just asking to be placed in here. Disruption and the chance of you loading are essential! Imagine Winning the RPS and you play a discarding attacker, ouch! You could also opt for the Master and Dusk Balls to be Bebe’s as this helps get something out of your hand to reload even more. SO there is the GE form that I have been messing with on Apprentice. It works for Stage 1 decks and Stage 2 Decks! Stage 2 decks might have to adjust to this style list:
Stage 2 Standard Fishing Engine Base:
Pokemon 14-16
2 Baltoy
2 Claydol
Trainers 29
2 Steven's Advice
2 Team Galactic's Wager
3 Rare Candy
3 Pokedex
3 Pokenav
2 Master Ball (Bebe’s Optional)
3 Dusk Ball (Bebe’s Optional)
4 Great Ball
3 Windstorm
2 Switch/Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
Energy 14-16
Using this list allows for fast setup of a solo S2 and Claydol. Dusk Ball IMHO just loves Claydol and that is why Master Ball went down and not Dusk Ball! There is room for 3 Candy (4 if you opt to lower energy count attackers) which can speed things up a bit as well!
So that is the Newer Fishing Engine! As always, it can be easily adjusted to your play style and manipulated with Quick Ball or even Premier Ball! Enjoy it and thanks for reading!
