Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

NoVA gets Virginia States! March 8, 2008

Yay quoting like a month laterz...but I like on here never....surprised I even remembered my logon

I'm so dumb :frown: . In my defense, one day you'll be old like me and will get tired by 8pm

If you're old Timmy-Boy, what am I????

I'd better mapquest the address so I can tell people where the place is. People keep asking me where Dale City is and I'm not too sure myself.

Timmy....I live in Dale City.....you've been to my house...raptors in the grass....

Just to clear something up, at States, I want people calling ShadowCard TIMMY or TIM or whatever, and ME TIMOTHY. OKAY? Seriously my neck got sore from jerking everytime someone called him. I tell you he's really popular at these tournaments....

Me either. The excitement for Brawl is bigger than the excitement for the tournament. Not saying the tournament will be bad, but I want brawl more.

@Lucario EX: Jumpluff was my original idea. A stage two doesn't set up fast enough and requires more than double the cards Mime requires.

And that's just at a tournament with only a fraction of my league players  . If people make me select the variant of name to call me, I choose Timothy, so that really doesn't help you .

That reminds me, I've got to announce States at league to make sure everyone knows. I hear its going to rain all day tomorrow. While rain promotes indoor activity, NOVAers don't like driving in the rain - it scares us.

Oh why........WHYYYYYYYYYYY?!??!?!?! Ahem....sorry. I'm done now. And why exactly does the rain scare you? Your not going to melt..........are you?

If anyone has Roseanne's Research, could you bring one to trade, cos I got a proxy and I'm pretty sure proxies are against the rules:tongue:
(Roseanne > Castaway)

I don't think I should trade any of mine, but I can lend you one. Sorry DarthPika, no Pachirisu.

Azure Kite, I think you mean who's, not whose.

130 players (!)
1st (for now only--it's late)
Masters Luke R
Seniors Philip M
Juniors Dean N

Expect me to publish a tournament report on the Southern Maryland Pokemon TCG podcast. Until then, props and slops:

Props
-Good tournament venue
-Shorter trip than to Rockville from Lusby (please, do run more tournaments here again)
-Door prizes
-Good judging staff
-Lots of players
-Seeing The King of Magikarps
-Two of "our guys" (aardvark) making it in SE
-Team Australia
-Blaming the popularity of "Do a barrel roll!" on Billy, while it's getting old

Slops
-Me forgetting to declare an attack in round 2, which cost me the game
-My epic fail in the Booster Draft (0-4 record)
-Nobody lieks Mudkips
-Premier Ball in Booster Draft
-No Dialga/Venusaur in SE
-Gardellade wins the Seniors again- BIG SURPRISE
-Pachirisu, for not being enough of them
-empty chairs

Honestly, it's whatever you feel like. You've already got 600$ in stipends, why does it matter?
900 now LOL. Makes you wonder, how it must be, to be soooo good, you go to two States and you win both...

So....

How did everyone do?

I'm waiting at the edge of my seat!

Hey Sandslash7, I was hoping to meet you. Remember me, from last years Pokegym Birthday Trivia Contest (we helped each other out...)? Sorry you couldn't make it! Maybe we will make it up again sometime for another tournament.

We came up from Florida, and it was a very interesting day, to say the least. Met lots of very nice folks and made some new friends. I want to especially congratulate Johnny who made top 8 cut in Masters and Jacob who made top 4 cut in Seniors and his mom Angie. Johnny, you are one top notch guy and it was great to meet you! Jacob, you got that trophy you wanted, way to go! PM me if you want so we can stay in touch.

David Tuskey, the PTO, is a nice guy too. Thanks for having us. It was nice to meet you.
