Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

08 Aust. Nats Thread: Top cuts fixed.

Wow thanks for the props Jason, Marcus and anyone else... well indirectly at least :). Without me having to turn up :O.

I won our states with the same deck, I just didn't have the financial support to show up, but even so Marcus did it justice...

Sean did well this year, fitting final, a shame Marcus couldn't win for my sake but I guess that's irrelevant for his :p. Well played.

Aaron's played well all year so its only natural he wins nationals but I think he was going to worlds anyway on points. How are you working any of that out Aaron in terms of your trip?

A bit disappointing David's 'creative' 30+ energy deck didn't do better but what can you say :p.

ugh, i was supposed to buy jason's list for $18, but with this results i can give like 18 cents.

yeah Pidgeot5, that Empalkia deck was totally awesome. When Palkia Lv.X first released, I was SO considering running that similar deck idea, but didn't end up running it, cause of all of these Magmortars and Gardelades...... Lol... I must be an archtype addict. :p

But still, major props to you, Pidgeot5.

Haha, that Empalkia deck against my Magmortar = gg. It was bad luck for Marcus that both his Mantines were prized both games against me in Swiss, but... I wish that'd happened in T4.

I think Sean deserved the win though, he's been playing brilliantly this year (and I still haven't beaten him ever... >_> Even casual, with fun decks.)

Indeed. Sean always made T2 in Melbourne, for the past...3 years.
During the whole seaeson, Sean went like.

5-2 at Melb cities, both loss went to me.
2-2 at Canberra Cities, with loss to me and Steff
5-0 at VIc States
3-1 at Glen Eira BRs, with only loss to Joey (a person who finished 7th at Nats)
5-1 at Melbourne BRs with only loss to Tiffany (a person who finished 16th)
and 8-0 at NATIONALS.

PROPS to SEAN!!!!!!!!

Someone could have cleaned up with Arithmatic. Glad you guys got your top cut right. What did they tell the 9th-16th players last night and then today. Just wondering if any of them had to fork over another night of hotel money to find out you don't play today.

I'm pretty sure all the interstate players planned to stay for Sunday anyway - the prereleases were on, and they'd have had to pre-book their flights.

9-16th players got free entry into the prereleases.

Well, David CPD, these players in 9th thru 16th went on to play in the Booster draft of the MD prerelease, so that STILL WORTH their time ^^;

Heh, I just opened my prizes. Palkia and Cress Lv. X! But I'm still sick of GE :p 4 Premier tournaments in about a month all with GE prizes = fail. XD;

I have to play Sean myself. Ive never played him so that's probably why I have no idea how good he is...

Jason: Give the next random thing you think of a shot, ask for advice if you want, might be worth your time as it expands your knowledge of the game and overall makes you stronger when its crunch time, whether you play an archtype or not.

JA: Two mantine's being prized is less than 1%, consider yourself very lucky :). Sean has played very well though, definately well played and deserved.

Edit: N/m Ja and Jason already said it.

Heh, Adam, Sean eats me for breakfast even playing a deck weak to me... I'm not exactly a great player, but still... >_>;;

Ah well...

Rankings updated, and looks like im #2 for rankings after Ranilo....so yeah - theres T4 so im in a really good chance to have the invitation

So yeah, IM GOING TO WORLDS!
3rd and 4th right now for Masters on rankings is Que Son N. and a fillipino player.

Seniors, is well, AFAIK, ranking invitation would be.
1. Justin T. VIC
2. Sam H. QLD
3. Liam C. TAS
4. Shaun M. QLD

But remember, we still got Malaysians left to be uploaded..... HOPEFULLY...that Sam still secure his invitation..... But I dont think that Shaun will get it since Malaysian seniors can knock Shaun out of T4 because of his low rating....
