Hey guys, this is a deck I've been thinking about for next season, I have it built and I was going to keep it secret, but I figured a lot of people are gonna end up using it anyway... Im not going to write a big whole article about it because I don't have 30 minutes to an hour to do so.. So heres my current list its done GREAT so far.. Take a look the deck name is ECO!! Empleon Claydol Omastar= ECO

This isn't my exact list, so results might vary.. Keeping the actual list secret till nats.

4-3-3-1 Empoleon MD/Empoleon DP
3 Pachirisu GE
1 Phione MD (start with pachi, CFF then retreat for phione. May switch to Tauros if I have problem with Crystal beach)
2-2 Claydol GE
1-0-1 Omastar MD (Amazing tech in this deck. It got me triple knock-outs against gg..)
Trainers: 23

4 Rare candy
4 Plus Power
3 Celios network
2 Roseanne's Research
1 Mentor (awesome tech in this format, load your bench up with pokemon early if you don't start with pachi, also good late game for a big hit with empoleon.)
2 Steven's advice
2 TGW
2 Night maintenance
2 Warp point
1 TSD

Energy: 16

2 Double rainbow (you really don't need more than 2 because you want to spread with empoleon when you get 2 energy attached.. Then you attach energy to use his second attack.)
2 Scramble (Great recovery card, might increase to 3.)
2 Holon wp (stops bring down, sonic blade, and other dangerous affects of attacks.)
10 Water


Strategy: The strategy is simple, start with pachi get your bench loaded up, try to get t2-t3 empoleon up and running and start spreading dmg, 30 a peace to 2 of your opponents benched pokemon, weakining upcoming threats or getting multiple knock outs early game.. Load up your bench and start one hitting stuff after you spread dmg.. The duskinoir is good if there loading something up on the bench.. It also fills another bench spot.

I'd definatley give Omastar a thought. Since Empoleon and its line are so great at spreading damage and sniping, a late-game Omastar could potentially KO several Pokemon at once.
 
Omastar will work well with this deck, although I suggest you look at upping your Warp Points and playing Empoleon Lvl X. Although spreading and devolving is one strategy, using the Level X gives you the ability to Warp a powerful active to the bench, devolve and then hit it for 80.

As a separate note, if you want Pachi / Tauros as a starter than back off on the Piplup from 4 to 3, you'll maximize the chance of getting the starter you want.

nice just amazing looks really good but up is right omastar would be good and woudnt touros + 3 pachi be to much considering the phione but i would do 2 pachi 1 touros and phione.

Po-Po-Pacchama, I like having 4 rare candy's incase I don't get a phione.. And getting your empoleon out turn 2 is one of the main things you want to do with this deck. Although I do see reason to add in a 4th celios, is there a different spot to take out to make room?

regis_neo, I do like the concept behind omastar, so I'll try using that for now instead of duskinoir.

ugly psyduck, I think 2 warp points is fine for me.. You don't want to keep drawing into them because they become a dead draw early game.. There basicly used for omastar or duskinoir, or when you need to retreat a empoleon. I do like the level x, but its attack is a plus and a draw back.. You have to wait to attack unless you warp point, and it gets rid of space for the main hitter empoleon MD. And I'm going to need 4 piplup if i play 4 empoleon.

dustinmoe, thanks for the comment. I could do that but that makes things really weird lol.. I was thinking 3 pachi and 1 tauros.

ra2xse, I know ampharos is amazing for spreading dmg, But I don't think so for this particular deck. I think with 21 pokemon thats already enough, and it might create space issues.

Any thought to trading your TSD for a Suicune--unless you start with Suicune (which stinks), Suicune is a guaranteed TSD to get your Empoleon line back (without a coin flip!) and gives you an extra basic in case you need it for your Empoleon bench.

Although tsd might be risky, its still a trainer and it looks cool :smile: and suicine could be bad if you start with it, and could be a dead draw.

Actually I think ra2xse is right. Its great fior spreading damage and it will be a surprise in mirror matches.
 
Hey guys, since empoleon actually came out today.. I wanted to see what people thought about this.. This isn't my actual list but my real list is 5-0 against gg, and beat a random spread deck 2-0 with electivire.. But Just wanted to see what people thought about this list.. I've had this list even before the set came out..
 
Ya this deck is just beastly...it hits the format in the no-no square. I'm guessing you will have a fairly strong RockBand and Skittles matchup, but Tops, Blissey (if it experiences a revival), possibly Eevees and Garchomp could be pretty bad. Time will tell.
 
Yeah I Think Ill Play This For Nats, Im Just Wondering, Why The DRE

I Mean Its Highly Unrecomendable Since The turn 2 - 30 is good and u wont really be using surf together

Dre is somewhat nessacary.. Its help me win games against electivre and shiftry.. Dre can be used on claydol to cover some weaknesses.. and if your in need of a surf together.. it helps a lot.. And I only run 2 so its not over doing it.
 
it doesnt take 10 off the bench hitting for surf together! u guys are crazy lol

i dont see the point of 4 pluspower when you bench hit most of the time
just for fun try a couple physic :lol:
