Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

the road to us ranking invites... (dialup users beware - text heavy )

Nope, my ranking hasn't changed a bit. I'm sure PUI will sort things out.

Doesn't matter though, I got my invite to the dance this weekend :)

Woo! AJ and Hoolon Mike representing 330 are going to Worlds!!!

And congrats to Dolezal, Holton, and Fulop as well! O-H-IO!!!

Looking at the stuff that Jason posted originally, I am confused. I NEVER had a rating of 1842.00. How did I lose 4.98 points without playing in an event? I am thinking that something is up with that. If I did have those points, I would be in, not out, like it says right now. The reason it is most confusing is because the person I lost to in the finals rating is exactly what it was after the final battle road. Why would I have lost almost 5 points for absolutely no reason?

Don't know, unless there was a problem with some event you played at somewhere else this season. Remember that an adjustment to an event, even if not directly related to you, can alter the whole thing.

I know, but most adjustments are small, and I really don't think 5 points is very small. I would like to hear about a player who LOST 5 points when no new tournaments were uploaded. I am sure the list isn't very big if it has happened to anyone at all.

What I do not understand is this

before:
44 Josh B. 1809.73 MA NV US

after:
86 Josh Bangle 1789.18 MA NV US

he went 6-3 so he shouldnt have lost 20 points : /

^ Not true at all. I was the only one in the entire T50 last year to go 6-3 and gain points. It's entirely possible that Josh's rating is correct.

If my rating was 1842 (Which I know for fact is wasn't) I only lost about 7.5 points. I played and lost against opponents with a rating of 1800, 1867, 1863, & 1787. This is what they were BEFORE Nats. So I think that is a good thing. I think that might help me once everything is uploaded.

Well it looks like i am definitly in lol i was worried i wouldn't make it after going 9-0 during swiss. 8th in North America isn't bad.

Ratings were updated once again last night. It seems that even though Mexico's Nationals were uploaded they didn't affect the ratings. I moved up a spot, but it still isn't enough. I closed the gap from .61 (to tie for an invite), to .52 to tie for an invite. It seems it will be changing while the system balances itself out. I will assume there are still some errors and we should still see some change in the ratings. I am either the biggest Matthew Koo fan or not right now because of where I sit.

I think it will be helpful and we'll have more information once the go-pokemon accounts are opened up for viewing. My son went down 2 places in srs overnight ???

Look at me, all pretty in 30th spot... now i'm gunna be below 50...... :/ haha It was a good season, I had a run for my money. Time to grind in!

i was just at 1814.?? on monday

now im at 1797.40 ?? what just happened..

Some of the players who played in Nats had not been affected by the ratings. I expect to see a lot of movement for the rankings the next few weeks before invites are actually given out.

My son went 4 - 4 and lost 63 points and lost an invite to the Worlds. If he had sat out the Nationals, he would have made it. Also, he won a regional. I'm not making sour grapes here, but this system needs to be fixed. Discouraging people from playing is not the answer.
