Chidori Deck

I am thinking about a deck idea for next season. I want to use Ampharos and Kabutops in a deck. I think that it can actually work with the right trainer line. I just need a suggestion. on what to use. IF you aren't familiar with the cards. They are below. For those those who aren't familiar with Naruto. I got the name from there. Chidori is a popular attack on that show. It also has another name the Lightning Blade, which are the traits of the two main pokemon. Ampharos(Lightning) Kabutops(Blade).

Amapharos 130hp lightning

Pody Body: Jamming
After your opponent plays a supporter card from his or her hand, put 1 damage counter on each one of your opponent's Pokemon. You can't use more than one Jamming pokebody each turn.

[L][C][C] Cluster Bolt 70
You may discard all [L]. If you do, this attack does 20 damage to each of your opponent's Benched pokemon that has energy cards attached to it (Don't apply weakness and resistance to benched pokemon)

W: [F] +30
R: [M] -20
RC: [C][C][C]

Kabutops 120hp [F]

Poke body: Primal Shell
As long as Kabutops is your active pokemon, your opponent can't play any trainer cards from his or her hand.

[F][F][C] Chop Up 70
Does 10 damage to each of your benched pokemon that any damage counters on it. (Don't apply weakness and resistance for bench pokemon)

W: [G] +30
R:
RC: [C][C]

it would be WAAY too slow. it would take a while to get everything out not to mention dres and scramb;bes are not going to be legal after worlds.

hmmm... maybe....but I was hoping that there would be something to slow down my opponent. It shouldn't take that long to get Kabutops out T2 tops. And I don't plan on using a play set of both anyways.

again, fossils are sort of slow, with dres and scrambles going it probably ruins the decka little but not soo much to completely ruin the deck. play it but ull need a LOT of SPEED.

THe opponent can play supporters because when DP came out, trainers were seperated in 3 classes: Supporters, Stadiums and Trainers. Kabutops only blocks Trainers so he blocks things like Rare candy and masterball but he doesn't block supporters.

correct! but i still find it very slow and u should play either omastar/omastars so when u build enough bench damage omastar 6 prizes FTW

Hey this is gonna sound weird, but I'm considering using Amphy/Kabutops with Garchomp. Also using that new energy link trainer coming out with it, so when you restore the Amphy/Kabutops as a basic you can transfer energies, make it active and pound away. i don't know if it'll work, but it might be a cool league deck.

3 stage 2s with almost everything needed? incredibly sloww. i saw a bunch at nats and brs. and they did pretty bad;;

It's actually not that bad.

I'm surprized you had that idea P_A, as it seems no one but me had thought of it yet.

Basically start with Kabutops. Then after it's KOed, Dragon Pulse, and Restore and continue to Chop Up.

So far, it's been pretty good. I play Amphy as a tech, and Kabutops as the main attacker, but with all the Empoleon running around, and the advent of Grass from IFDS, Amphy might be the main with Kabutops as a tech.

We'll have to see.

i saw a bunch at nats and i still saw a few in VA. at BRs. a lot of people thought of it, played it,failed, gave up.

true, its like wasting a stage 2 and a lvl.x for a kabutops. when u could get more better techs that effect the metagame. example something phychic, something lightning ect.

Yeah... getting a Garchomp X is going to be a bit difficult for me. I tend to not have good luck in pulling packs and I haven't been able to trade for it. I feel that I can make this deck work. I am designing it to slow down my opponent while I set up on my side.

I really think an offensive strategy would work for this deck.
