Unless PUI changes the invite system, the only paid invites will be the top finishers at Nats. Gotta pay to get there!

I would expect that POP will have a deal with the hotel so it can be much cheaper than the 360 per night. I expect that when they come out with their rate it will be closer to 150 or so.

There will be a Pokemon rate but it won't be announced for a while. Hopefully there will be more rooms available at that rate next year also. The hotel can definately accommodate it.

The best part about worlds being in San Diego, California, is the fact that I live a half hour away from it!!! xD

$170usd a night?
jeez
ill probs use a cheaper hotel ftl.
or share room with 4 or 5 other people...:p

13th August is a Thursday, is that an error?
Good catch. They've never had to errata an announcement card before

The schedule should be:
  • Thurs, August 13th - Competitors fly in
  • Fri, August 14th - Last Chance Qualifier/Competitor check-in
  • Sat, August 15th - Worlds Swiss
  • Sun, August 16th, Worlds Top Cut/Pre-releases

hey guys just wanted to ask............. do any of you guys book in advance and then when pokemon usa gets a special rate, you guys fall into the special rate as well? or do you guys wait for pop to get the block first then only start booking?

FYI i was only paying $129 + tax this time for hilton

Since the location is in the downtown area, there are many hotels in walking distance. Don't sweat the price of just that one hotel. Since the trolley goes by the Hilton, try looking in for hotels/motels near the line (trolley). I was waiting for the announcement of what Hilton, due to the last one in San Diego, not being at the Hilton. If anyone needs any suggestions on what is close by, just email me. San Diego is my hometown.
Thanks, :)
