What decks do you expect to win Battle Roads?

I expect to see the stuff that's in the format now with a few tweeks to them. Also, Honchcrow, Garchomp, and Garchomp SP will make some apperances.
 
I expect some gengars to take BR's, as well as legos and luxray variants.


Not many new decks are around (yet), but a lot of new techs are in SV for the modding of our current metagame. Hopefully some absol G will be around and cool decks like honchcrow and Rayquayza, but I'm not sure how well they'll do.

I plan on playing my promogon Z deck though!
 
I love you Nardd. Promogon-Z is epic. If only we had a better way to get TM's back from the grave.

I think we'll see a lot of techs coming from SV, more then expected. LunaSol might be fun as it does have the ability to greatly annoy Luxray varieties.
 
Yeah, but that only nets you one TM back, hence the "better way" to get them back. I try to have 1-2 in the deck, but the trick is to just be careful where you stick them :/

Oh yeah, metal gengar is a cool one that I hope to see here and there
 
Marley only works you have both types of TMs in the discard, and it only gives you one of them.
 
That is what it is- metagross SV and gengar SF (hence the METAL and the GENGAR [like mother gengar] )

metagross lowers everything's HP so that gengar can snipe those pokepower'd pokes without any more damage needed. One shot Claydol, pixies, porygon2, etc.

those are the decks that will most likely be seen. as for what wins i'm guessing a luxray variant.
 
How about Blaziken and Absol? They both hit really hard really fast. And Absol provides great disruption like if you drop it early, you may be able to lost zone that key card. Attach a special dark to absol and your doing some decent damage.
 
People are definitely underestimating and being quick to judge when they say that the only good deck coming out of this set will use blaziken fb.
 
In no particular order, the following decks will have common showings at Battle Roads:
• LuxApe
• BlazeRay
• ChatApe (Primeape/Chatot G)
• Mother Gengar w/Relicanth
• Machamp variants, including Speed Machamp and GeChamp
• Speedrill

I don't know about anything else that's tournament-worthy right now... as has been mentioned before, there is a lot of trash in SV, which means only a few playable decks.

I think he means Garchomp. Just not sure whether it is the SP or the stage 2 Garchomp. Anyways, I think not that many new decks will be used... Maybe Blaziken, Rayquaza, and Garchomp will have their time in the limelight...

Just as people have said, the same old decks will be there like Gengar, Machamp, Beedrill, Kingdra, Luxape, Palkia, Flygon... although SV did provide good techs to tweak the archetypes with- Relicanth, Honchkrow, Metagross, Exploud, etc.
