Worlds 2012?

If my time calculations are correct, they should've started registration for the main Worlds event. Does anyone have any info or the goodie bag?

And more importantly, this means the date + location of Worlds 2012 will be known soon, right? Does anyone know yet?

Still no love for the east coast.

Makes it easier to cut out some of the travel to play more events since there is no way for me to get my family to worlds again. Guess we will have more time to do other things than play Pokemon.

Would have loved to have seen it in Florida for 2012. If it were California again, we were at least going to attempt to make the trip out there. Hawaii is pretty much a no for us.

California, Hawaii, Florida, California, Hawaii, California, Hawaii.

let me guess 2013 and 2014...California and Hawaii?

Thanks Nintendo! :nonono:

Ugh, Hawaii again? That's so killing for us European players, flights are so much more expensive than mainland USA :(

I don't get it, why Hawaii?
Orlanda was a lot cheaper and east coast hasn't had a big tournament in forever.
If this is about the japanese I don't think that going to Orlando is that difficult for them.

I was already getting my hopes up for it being in Florida... This definitely makes it more difficult for European players.

Speaking of which, if Worlds weren´t to be held in USA, they could be held in Japan or even Europe - the distances wouldn´t be too far off. It´s not going to happen though - but a year in Florida could still prove a nice change.

The main problem with Florida is the distance from Japan, I´d suppose.

yep no point in me playing next year if it's hawaii(sells binder now)
oh well and i was hoping to try for a worlds invite too, my family said if it was in cali/florida we could go, but hawaii's a no for me :(

I don't get why they insist on putting it in Hawaii. When they've had it there in the past, there's always a lot more complaining about it than any other venue. I was thinking about trying hard to get an invitation next year or going to grind in, but if it's in Hawaii, it's top 4 at nationals or nothing :/

I really would like to know their justification for putting it in Hawaii. The only way to get there is by plane, which is already out of range for me to go anywhere pricewise, and flying to Hawaii is well over $1500 EACH PERSON, and that's not even counting the hotel, food, all of which I seem to remember a thread complaining about last time it was in Hawaii.

I honestly don't know how they expect people to spend well over $4000 to get to a tournament...at least Florida and California are accessible by reasonably priced transportation :/

It's like some of you said, Japan's whining. They didn't like it when it was in Florida, so from now on it is apparently supposed to be San Diego and Hawaii exclusively

Go figure, the year I was actually going to get my worlds invite before I turn 18 and judge everything.

Now I have to t4 nats :(
