Dropping Ninetales would be an okay move but no matter what leave Engineer's out of the deck. You still need a specific card in your hand so it's way too situational. I originally tried it and hated it. Even Cheren would be better. Also if you put Sage's in instead of Ninetales you can drop the energy count to be as low as 8-10.

But if I drop the energy to 8-10, wont that make it almost impossible for me to find any?

This isn't what I'm going to do, its just an idea:

-2-2 ninetales
-2 Juniper
+4 Sage's
+1 Switch (I realized how much I'm going to need it in order to retreat typh and attack in the same turn with catcher)
+1 Catcher/Switch (to increase consistency of switch or to add even more disruption with another Catcher)

No not really. You have Typhlosion so it's not like you really need to draw into a lot of energy over a game. If you're playing the Afterburners right you should only need like 2 manual attaches over a game.

But will I draw into them to get them in the discard? That's the only thing I see, but I guess the reward of three open slots makes it worth testing. What should I replace with those energy? Cheren for drawpower? Or maybe Interviewer's Question's?

K, so this is the changes:

-2-2 ninetales
-2 Juniper
-3 Fire Energy
+4 Sage's
+2 Defender
+2 Switch (I realized how much I'm going to need it in order to retreat typh and attack in the same turn with catcher)
+1 Catcher

a few problems I saw 1 you pokemon count is kind wimpy bec you have two pokes and only 8 basics and reshiram needs at least 10 fire energies to constantly use it's attacks...

to fix the first problem I'd add 2-3 manaphy for a starter/draw support and a 2-2 Suicune Entei Legend. Many people don't see the potential of this card it has the ability to OHKO Reshiram and Donphan so it's really good against mirror decks and most donphan variants....

and the energies are easy to fix just add two fire ;)

...and how am I supposed to find room for 9 more cards? I am yet to test with the low amount of energy, but I have heard it works well. The low pokemon count isnt really that bad, you never mulligan more than once per game, and not very often.

-2 Rescue
+2 Fire

Use Revive instead now. You can get by easily with 10 or even okay with 9 fire but 8 fire won't be enough in this build. The ones that use DCE or Yanmega can work with 8 but not this kind.

Thats why I was unsure about getting rid of the energy. If I get rid of the rescue, I will have no way to get a catchered and killed typhlosion back.

-2 Defender
+2 Fire

easy take out 9 Trainers/Energy (rescue) the winning deck had a high supporter count anyways....

for example:

-2 sage's Training
-1 Catcher
-2 Switch
-2 rescue energy
-1 Junk Arm
-1 Pokemon Communication
-4 PONT

+ 2x manaphy UL
+ 2-2 Suicune Entei Legend
+ 2 Revive
+3 Professor Juniper
+2 Legend Box

I think this is much better than your old list for the reasons stated above (and Juniper beats PONT for Reshiram variants idk exactly why...) of course you don't have to take my advice but whatever -.-

manaphy= free prizes

SEL sounds like an interesting idea, but again, with catcher it will be killed before I can charge it.

PONT>Juniper in my experience, I always get it when I don't want it.

I also like rescue better than revive because you can save typhs with rescue, and if all 4:eek:f my results are knocked out, I've already lost.

Manaphy = save your butt from bad hands lol. Don't play it when you don't need it and it's not a free prize. For like the 5th time if they actually kill 4 Typhlosions they're already up 4 prizes and that's not counting cheap prizes in the early game. Using Rescue on one won't be the difference between a win and a loss 95% of the time.

I'd rather use cleffa than manaphy since no one really plays tyrogue any more. Untitled, I like to have 3 typhs on the bench to completely sustain the active and charge a basic. If a typh is prized, or they kill two typhs, having rescue is a huge advantage.

If you can't win games without 3 Typhlosion out at a time, you're playing the deck wrong. I don't think I've EVER gotten or even tried to get out 3 Typhlosion at a time with the deck. It runs just fine with 2 out; play Afterburners well, set Outrage KOs up, try to avoid OHKOs from your opponent, etc and you should be fine. The deck works okay with 1 Typhlosion out as long as you run Twins. You should be basing your entire game around them killing Typhlosions. I've never really played any close games where they don't kill 2 Typhlosion.

Okay, okay, I'll get rid of the rescue. You said Twins works well? I'll try that out.

-2 Rescue Energy
+2 Twins

Or maybe 1 cleffa and 1 other thing?

Did some testing, I think ninetales makes this better. I also realized I only have 59 cards LOL

-1-0-1 typhlosion
-2 twins
+2-2 ninetales
+1 cleffa
