Collation of Next Destinies

No way, there are a lot of people (myself included) that collect sets. Pulling any EX will be fine at any rate since there are no shortage of people looking for those cards to either play or collect. :)

Sorry I was looking at it as a players only point of view. Every card is great for collectors since they collect every card (lol). But from a players standpoint the chances of pulling a mewtwo are now a little lower than expected. Still loving the set though nonetheless.

We are players as well. Trying to accrue 3-5 mewtwo before states( with a dismal 3 ex/box) will be daunting but I'm beginning to see that this set will be a proper challenge to collect as well. We got lucky @the NV prerelease and walked away with 1 of each FA. Which left only the meowth to find. That was a holdout card though, do to the condition of many early copies.

I'm sorry but Primes were too frequent. There weren't even really chasers. I think that you are wrong, I think it will go back to what it use to be, not what Primes were, plus they appeared in a different slot in the pack.

The problem with Primes wasn't so much their rarity as their quality. Most of them just weren't really significantly better than the other versions.

But if you didn't think Primes could be chased, look at Triumphant. EVERY Prime in the set save Absol has or has had a solid value. Even Celebi is climbing in price from at one point being a $3 card.

As I posted in another thread, at the prerelease I attended, the box we pulled from had 1 full art, and 2 regular ex, with no secret rares. And in the whole prerelease with well over 30 people and extra side events (first side event had 19 players stay, and second side event there were 6 of us), only 1 Mewtwo ex was pulled. However there were a number of secret cards pulled, Zoroark, Hydreigon, and another (can't remember which).

Anybody with any early PR numbers they care to share?

The one I went to, it seemed like pretty much everyone got an EX. It looked like it is probably 2 regular EX per box, and 2 FA/SR per box.

Of the EX's pulled, I'd estimate about 70 percent were Kyurem EX, followed by Mewtwo EX/Shaymin EX with 3-4 copies, and I think there were 2 each of Reshi EX and Zekrom EX.

I managed to make it out with a Mewtwo EX, Zekrom EX, and Kyurem EX FA.

I've opened 2 boxes so far. I have 4 EX, 2 FA EX (both Zek), and a Shiny (Chandy).

I'm thinking that the pull ratios will be something like 2-3 EX, 1-2 FA EX, and 0-1 Shiny (3 per case, maybe?)

Looks like 3 Mewtwo at our Prerelease. One FA, two Regular. Interestingly enough, 1 of the FA and 1 Regular sat right next to each other.

EDIT-Four were pulled, one in the hands of a clueless new senior...

To fall back to an earlier point for a moment ; is there somewhere to get an EXACT collation ratio? M:TG, sportscards, and I'm sure others, actually make real numbers available for collectors. Does this just plain ol' not exist for Pokemon? If it does, could someone present a link?

How are the numbers for the special energies/trainers per box?
Of course I have no idea if our box was a typical box or not, however here's the stats on it:

1 Full Art Regigigas Ex
1 Kyurem Ex
1 Reshiram Ex
9 holos - no repeats
24 rares - 4 doubles (Bronzong, Musharna, Simipour, Simisear)
27 non-reverse train/sup/stad (5 Cilan, 5 Exp Share, 3 Heavy Ball, 5 Level Ball, 4 Pokemon Center, 5 Skyarrow Bridge)
7 non-reverse energies (4 Double colorless, 3 Prism)
36 reverses - no doubles, but have some good lines and other cards such as:
Heavy Ball, Cilan, Prism Energy, Gardevoir line, Shiftry line, Zapdos/Articuno/Moltres, Arcanine, Luxray line, Cinccinno line

Overall I'm not disappointed in the box at all, though it would have been nice to scoop a Mewtwo Ex. However I'm sure it's the luck of the draw, and not all boxes are gonna be the same otherwise it wouldn't be as fun to collect. :thumb: I hope the info is helpful to you.

I remember that one rep who lurks around the forum once commenting "I'm not going to give the real ratios, but this is wrong" in reply to something. Apparently, they refuse to tell us for whatever reason.

As far as T/E, I pulled between 6 and 8 of each of them without taking into account RHs in 2 boxes. That's about the average historical data since they went to 10 card packs.

There were too many people at my prerelease so i couldnt enter. I was extremely dissapointed. Now i have to wait 2 weeks when my box comes in :(

Contrary to player opinion, I am finding that the STORE OWNERS think the set is great due to the distribution if EX and Full Art.

They know that if the tough cards are hard to get, you the players will be spending more money on booster product in their stores or on singles.

Yes I know...there are the "we buy singles on-line" folks...but they are not the majority. These are also the people who do nothing to help our venues stay open when they spend no money in them

This will make for a healthier game in the long run as stores will be motivated to keep Pokemon Leagues up and running.:thumb:

Also Prerelease Numbers are THRU the ROOF!!!!!...At my main event I had people showing up I have not seen in YEARS....as well as MANY new faces...young kids and college kids

THings are looking good...we are just goiing to have to work at getting those Mewtwo EX's a little harder....remember Lugia EX!??

Yes thanks Prof Clay. Sometimes as players/collectors we forget those pesky owners opinions! Ha ha. But yeah, you're right, it may be harder for people in the short run, but in the long run it is good for the game to make the good cards somewhat harder to get.

Yep, it looks like TPCi is getting better at their jobs, since attendance is getting better all around so far.

I just wish they'd go back to the old way of numbering the cards in a set - however I suppose that's my opinion only, and yeah too off topic.

Too be honest, the store owners really have no one to blame but themselves for noone buying their products. When they're selling booster boxes for $25-35 more than I can get it online, and singles at nearly double the price I can get them on troll and toad, ebay, or amazon, there is no way I am going to spend my money in their store, especially after spending money previous to the tournament to make sure I have all the cards I need for my deck, and then spending money on gas to get there. If they put fair prices on their product instead of trying to rip people off, I might support them more often.

And I say this as someone whose local league/tournaments are held at a community center and not a store. Not sure if I'm in the minority on this or not, but in general, I am more comfortable playing in a community center and being free to trade/sell cards freely, than being restricted from doing so in a store.

This isn't to say every store ridiculously marks up their product. Yeti in St. Louis for example, has some pretty good prices for booster packs. But for the most part, every card shop I've been to have had horrible prices...and yet they wonder why no one buys from their store.
