Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf xvi the rise of team plasma: Town wins

Any information helps the wolves. They can probably guess who's important/not important based on the gym leader the person is.

What I suggest is if we begin to vote for a gym leader, have them name claim then. That way we're not giving out info we don't necessarily need yet.

...And for that I think you should name claim right now. You would be against, wouldn't you, if you had no name to claim? There's at least a 1/7 chance of lynching a wolf (assuming there are not more among those who voted), any information that is given out will help us to find them. While we might give out important names this way, keep in mind we do have a priest, who can protect them temporarily. I realize that it IS somewhat of a sacrifice, but losing two wolves in a matter of three days would be so crippling to the wolves at this point that I cannot help but think that it is totally worth it. If you were a townie, that's just simply not something you would want to prevent.

In any case, I think your name claim is very much so necessary right now. The fact that you're against it to me implies that you can't claim a name. You're on the list, you could be a wolf for all we know. You of all people have no reason to be against it if you have nothing to hide.

In fact, if you don't name-claim, you will earn my vote.

IMO any players on the list who have a specific role, like gym leaders should name-claim. Odds go up. We have 1 real-life day left.

K, didn't even realize that time was flying so fast, only 1 day left? Wow. People whom I addressed in my last post (Redados1, PMysterious, Scottistru), I would very much like to hear from you before the Day ends. That way we can hear your defenses and stuff. I am not name revealing until I absolutely must, and that situation has yet to come. More below.

What about also

one's votes DC725
and KP both
on Dave lynch?

Saying, what? I voted for Dave because there wasn't a whole lot to go off of Day 1, and because I had jumped into the game a little later than everyone else and spent a lot of time getting caught up. Maybe PMysterious stood out to me as being suspicious aside from Dave, but nobody else aside from that stood out to me. More below.

That seems reasonable. Assuming one of the seven is Ghetsis (which judging from the text of A/AM, I'd say at the least it's a possibility), Gym Leaders claiming would rule out names from consideration (I see no reason that Gym Leaders would be Werewolves). It gets names out there too, so why not? I don't see any immediate negatives to this. It can only make it easier to find Ghetsis.

As I stated, I will name reveal if needed. I don't like name claiming until I utmost have to, but if it means narrowing down a wolf, I might. Going and throwing my name out into the game isn't really appealing, but if it's needed, I'll do it. Cool?

I agreed with this. Name-revealing=not ideal. Call things out as they come, but also let things play out. I will go ahead and say that I am a GL though. More below, gotta finish this quick and get back to homework :frown:

I already thought about this, actually. I came to the conclusion that the Gym Leaders should be willing to name-claim....I see no reason why the true Gym Leaders wouldn't want to name-claim.

All I really have to say I've said above. Look deeper into peoples' posts, read in between the lines, and let's try and find the wolves :thumb:

I hope my stand on the matter is transparent in my post.

Wow Clay, way to cave in to pressure! (See what I did there? :p)

Assuming this is true, my list is narrowed down to three: PMysterious, Scottistru, and Redados1

I already thought about this, actually. I came to the conclusion that the Gym Leaders should be willing to name-claim. After all, by name-claiming they can get their name off of the list which helps us all. We get information about players this way and are more likely to lynch the Werewolf among them. I see no reason why the true Gym Leaders wouldn't want to name-claim.

Any information helps the wolves. They can probably guess who's important/not important based on the gym leader the person is.

I have to say this right now. I have been against the whole role claiming/naming the whole time. Not a winning strategy without a dire situation.
You gave the name WITHOUT a single vote.
On top of that you HAPPEN to claim to be a gym leader. I find this VERY suspicious.:nonono:

You had better hope that nobody challenges your claim.

@ Son_Of_Apollo:

Good enough for me. I'm glad I didn't have to get it out of you with my vote. As long as no one counter claims, to me you are ruled out of the list of possible candidates.

Which leaves us with
PMysterious
Scottistru
Redados1

Which is kind of what I expected, really. Everyone else really doesn't have enough to incriminate them. These three players: name-claim or you shall earn my vote.

Also, I'm inclined to agree with Jellyfisher. I'll add that the last game he played, he played perfectly rationally. He is much jumpier now in comparison, the Scottistru from last game and the Scottistru in this game seem pretty different. I think at the moment, I'd have to agree he is the most suspicious among us.

For now I'll keep my vote for Redados because I think he needs to talk. But if Scott doesn't name claim, I will vote for him in an instant.

AND now we have 2 gym leader claims. 2 of the 7 on the list are seriously gym leaders?
Not only that, but you were against claiming AND do a semi-claim IN THE SAME POST.

Who else finds this VERY a shady play? Sounds like these players are playing with their bets "all-in".

Yep, but honestly, Dave was the only one that hadn't had at least SOME redemption from his earlier bad playing, hence my vote.

I find it funny you've called me for fence sitting twice, and now we're sitting here debating the fact that I've voted twice for the lynch.

Town, reread pages
21 thru 25
I'd ISO KP
If I could.......
Opportunistic/ fence sitting?

Chill out, bro. I am against name-claiming if I don't need too. I did reveal that I am a GL in order to help narrow the list down a bit.

I'm against mass role/name-claiing and even if all seven on the list name-claims, there is always the chance that the wolf finds a good fake-claim. I tgives way too much information to the wolves and you should know that more than anyone else, you claimed Drayden day one and were promptly targeted by the wolves night 2. The update says that Ghetis wants you to tell him how to summon Reshiram. Now I'm pretty sure that Reshiram being in the hands of team plasma is a bad thing. Luckily, sdrawcab targeted Ghetis and you were somehow saved so it doesn't look like team plasma has Reshiram, now you'll have to be constantly priested or else the wolves will kill you.

damn man, way to put me in a bad situation. I'm clay.

You gave in to pressure after only one persn pushed you and he didn't even vote?:nonono::nonono:
If noone counterclaims I'll have to accept it but this looks pretty suspicious.

Actually I agree with this, I did not initially notice it and I'm glad you pointed it out.

Dragonclyne, if you're willing to say your a gym leader you're already half-way claiming. You might as well claim a name at this point, but that's a very fishy post you just made. I agree with Ulti, first you're against claiming and then you hint at being a GL? The fact that you hint at that means you need to name-claim immediately. Because if you're a wolf (and you were only ruled out from the list because, before that post, you were playing a great game) and you claim to be a GL and no one challenges that, all we have is your word. That is not acceptable to me.

That blatant contradiction of your own post does not look good at all.

Name-claim or risk my vote.

Another threat asking someone else to name-claim? I know that you're most likely town, but I don't think having everyone nameclaim is a good idea. Besides that last post, I don't see any reason to think Dragonclyne is a wolf and his last post wasn't even that suspicious.

So let me get this straight. I have the possibility of being Ghestis, a lot of people would say that because of my playstyle. But I can say that I'm not a werewolf. I even said that on Day 2.

PCOPB claims he is Drayden and he did say that he would form a mason group with Iris (orcmonkey2000) if he (she) didn't die.

Jellyfisher has targeted me through Day 1 and Day 2. It normally is suspicious to vote against a new player and start a bandwagon against that new player. All I ever did to start that up was ask a simple question.

Anyway, Son of Apollo I could say is not too smart when it comes to making posts. I mean he says he's clay (aka probably toast or in trouble) like I was somewhat in on Day 1 until I did that massive post. That usually means that person is a werewolf. I can promise you I am one exception to that.

KingPiplup is smart but would not tell Sandslash7 to post stuff like that. Sandslash7 might have decided to sacrifice himself just to save the rest of the werewolves including Ghestis. He might have the possibility.

Scottistru was suspicious early in the game day but now is acting less suspicious as time goes on. A normal werewolf thing from what I saw.

Redados1 has the best possibility of being Ghestis. Like DragonClyne725 and jellyfisher did before, he's trying to force a bandwagon on me. Don't think that will work well. Think about that or you will get my vote. Other than that, really suspicious.

That gets to my next topic. There are a few players that haven't spoken in a while. JewelQuest (Princess of Bandwagons), Desufnoc (Quiet man), Akane (mostly active), Barkjon (I don't know yet), DarthPika ( somewhat of a game delayer), Cantor (Can't say much), and Jason (the quiet suspicion). If any of you are reading this, speak up.

All together, there are the probabilities of who the heck is Ghestis.
One of the quiet ones: 5%
King Piplup: 25%
Scottistru :25%
Redados1: 45%

I don't see the big deal about asking Dragonclyne his name. He's clearly willing to hint at being a GL, that's already half-way there. I wouldn't have asked him to claim, but because he's already hinted at his identity, I feel he needs to name-claim. Otherwise, that IS suspicious. We have established that Gym Leaders are probably town. So by saying he's a gym leader, he's basically saying he's town. People claiming to be town is a scumtell. When no has cast a vote for you and you're already trying to convince people you're innocent, that is clearly suspicious. Do you disagree with that statement?

What I suggest is if we begin to vote for a gym leader, have them name claim then.
Takes too long. We don’t have that much real-life time in the game day.

I buy it unless anyone counter claims.
Anyone?

NO.
There’s no way for anyone to refute you if you say you are just a gym leader. A specific name or nothing.

Dude, you are really starting to annoy me. I don't care if you are town, making people name claim this early in the game with little to none votes is RIDICULOUS. The point of this game is to figure people out. You seem to want to have the win served to you on a silver platter. This game doesn't work this way. We've got to figure this out with our brains.

Also, I highly doubt that they'll name claim with so many of us telling ya how ridiculous this is. I say don't name claim unless you've got quite a few votes on you, and then, only then, should you name claim/role reveal as a last resort.

So let me get this straight. I have the possibility of being Ghestis, a lot of people would say that because of my playstyle. But I can say that I'm not a werewolf. I even said that on Day 2.

Since when did I become the Princess of Bandwagons? You have jumped on quite a few yourself if I remember correctly. Sorry if this seems defensive(especially against you), but honestly?

It is true that you probably aren't a wolf(unless the wolves are telling you to play this way because we've branded you as the Village Idiot), but you are on the 'suspicious list' because of your awful playstyle, and this post isn't any better.

I also I have been 'stalking the thread' all day. The only reason I haven't posted before now is because I saw no reason to.

I don't see the big deal about asking Dragonclyne his name. He's clearly willing to hint at being a GL, that's already half-way there. I wouldn't have asked him to claim, but because he's already hinted at his identity, I feel he needs to name-claim. Otherwise, that IS suspicious. Dude, everyone in this game "claims" to be town. You wouldn't want to claim to be a wolf, would you? I could use this logic to say that you are suspicious because you've claimed to be town when you claimed to be Drayden.

@Jewelquest: The reason why you are the princess of bandwagons is because of the fact that you did bandwagon a few times and I am not a female. I even say that in reality.
