A tutor is a card that can search for a specific card so in turn ultra and level and heavy ball are considered tutors.Ehrm... Silly question but what is a tutor?

Elaborate? Because this is a very vague infoUnless dragon types
Are huge i dont think youll need it. Just one shots other dragons
Why would you play 4/3/4 with tons of tutor? That makes 0 sense. Why would you cramp your hand and draws with cards you already have in play? At most 4/2/4 but that's pushing it. Don't really need 3 gible because of of emolga search. You reasoning for terrakion ex could be said for any slow starter. He has much higher hp than the non-ex and can do better things. As for the mirror your analogy of stating you need 4/3/4 still proves nothing. Having more does nothing, but clunk your hand in other match ups. To win the mirror comes down to catcher pure and simple.I'll have to disagree with TT85NO1. 4-3-4 Garchomp is very important since he's your main attacker and you need the fourth Garchomp to have the edge in the mirror. Also don't forget Gabite has a very useful ability which can help you search out a Dragon-type every turn.
Don't even consider running Terrakion EX here. This deck has absolutely zero energy acceleration and you won't ever get Terrakion EX attacking in time. Besides, who wants to start with a lone Terrakion EX?

Sigh. I'm just going to leave this alone. That makes no sense what so ever.
You don't need tones of 'tutor' when you have 3 gabite. You say you don't want your hand cramped with trainers when playing excess 'tutor' does that when you could have the gabites on field. The reason you play 4 gible is so that you can actually use multiple garchomp in a game. If they ko one and you prize one you will lose. To win mirror with 3 garchomp would be some what of a miracle, tbh.

You might want to learn the basics of Pokemon TCG before denouncing my logic and saying it makes "zero sense". :thumb:Why would you play 4/3/4 with tons of tutor? That makes 0 sense. 2 times you took stabs at my ability at Pokemon. It's funny. I've played this game since it first came out lol. I took a 6 year break since I quit in 06 when I started becoming pro at other games IE magic and wow tcg. I took a lot of logic from those games and applied it to this which actually made me even a better player/deck builder than when I quit. When I quit I won and topped several cities, states and regionals. If you have not played magic or wow tcg competitively than I could never explain to you why my statement makes sense. You might want to learn the basics of Pokemon TCG before denouncing my logic and saying it makes "zero sense". :thumb:
deashira has posted most of the points which I want to say, so go ahead and refer to his/her post if you're still not convinced. You're missing the point about Terrakion EX. The point is, he's extremely slow and doesn't fit into this deck. You don't have any energy accelerators, no Shaymin UL, nothing. The only way to make Terrakion EX useful (in this deck that is), is to wait 3 turns to power him up and use Smash Pump. Its first attack, 2:fighting: for 50 just isn't impactful enough to turn things around. Wasting 3 turns to power Terrakion EX up means a) You miss your vital energy attachments onto Garchomp, and b) Terrakion EX will be vulnerable to the likes of Darkrai, Zekrom, Terrakion, Garchomp, and almost any other attacker out there which has no problems 2HKOing it. For those reasons, along with the fact that he's a horrible starter and messes with consistency, makes Terrakion EX a horrible addition to this deck. He just isn't worth the space.
Your statement "As for the mirror your analogy of stating you need 4/3/4 still proves nothing. Having more does nothing, but clunk your hand in other match ups" already makes so little sense that I even begin to wonder if you've played proper Pokemon TCG games before.

That's really funny. It really is. If you played tcg's as much as me you learn the more the games change the more they stay the same. Maybe I just understand the game on a level you don't? It's funny. Whenever I have seen people win at tcg's it's always with decks that A) no one saw coming, B) Created something new, C) played with cards/numbers that no one understood. Most of the time it was at least 2 of the above scenarios. You guys think way too close minded when building decks and think of what only works in your head. You really need to broaden your mind by playing outside the box. I have been watching the game go up and down since I left and can honestly say that the upcoming format is probably the most balanced it's been in awhile. Decks are pretty strait forward and the innovation is going to be great.just because my analysis of the 4/3/4 line isn't what you agree with and the inclusion of terrakion ex than who cares. You won't understand it. I understand why your playing 4/3/4 I just don't agree. I prefer to be more flexible in a deck than be restrictive. That's just my play style.I'll be honest, you seem to have no understanding of today's deckbuiding in Pokemon. Things have changed. Deckbuilding has to conform to the format. The format today is unlike any previous formats.

Good we can agree to disagree :thumb: lol. Yeah its just my playstyle and it may not to be what everyone else's is. I think there will be innovation once BW6 comes out later this year. It makes deck building more flexible which is what I like. You are newer to the newer format where 90% is useless filler and there really isn't as much room for creativity as there used to be, aren't you?
Arguing this won't get anywhere though, since playstyles are most definitely a personal thing. :thumb:
Not saying there is no room for innovation. Defender, Potion, etc. all leave room for surprises.
FWIW, I agree that 4-3-4 is overkill.

Do I know you?Having played against you in a couple DMFs i know first hand that your a great tcg player. While i agree the has a bunch of tutors. The best tutor in the decks is gabite. It speeds the deck up significantly and doesnt force you to play ultra ball to search for garchomp. Being able to use gabite to search for garchomp means you can max out the level balls since everything else in the deck(excluding rayquaza techs) in searchable with level balls
