Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Multiplayer release date-offical

Well, considering that they've said on the DRX description it's being released to coincide with the client's update and the fact that this update/maintenance is taking up to 23 hours long implies that they are indeed releasing it with the client. A set update has never taken this long before.

A set update HASN'T happened before with the new client. That doesn't even matter, because the update is not just adding a set, it's adding a whole new functionality to the client. That's why it's taking so long. Have you read around any of the forums? Everyone involved has said that the trading system was going to be rolled out in coming months, not with the initial release.

I don't think he said that the trading system would be added today, just the updated client and new sets.

There's more to it than that. We're also migrating VAST amounts of player collections from the old web-based client to the new downloadable client. Before it goes live, we also need to run tests on all of the functionality to make sure that nothing broke during the deployment. It's not as simple as just flipping a switch.

Is this...confirmation that multiplayer IS a part of this update?

Thank goodness!!!

I just keep rebooting the client. And crossing my fingers.

I find it hilarious you guys are so negative over this entire situation :(.
For the people who've been with it since the beginning (haven't you?), and have put up with all the bumbling ineptness, it's kind of hard not to be. And I'm a pretty positive person in general :thumb:

Anyone wanna guess how much i've spent on the online version of the game? NOTHING!

We get a free code in every booster pack (and promotional item) for a programme that we can use free of charge.

Yes there were problems with the old version but ir worked pretty darn well!!

I am VERY excited for the new version because i don't like playtcg (or talking to people) and i just want to start testing the new format where i can sit and play game after game.

I want this NOW but i'm happy to wait. I for one would like to say: Thank you for the free programme and all the free codes. It's really cool and i enjoy it :D

There's people busting their balls to get this ready for us. Let's show them a little love!

Wow. My cousin just phoned me. "YOU LIAR YOU SAID IT WOULD BE READY AT 5!" Wowzers, I have a feeling he was sitting down watching the clock tick the whole day today.

Well you actually have to spend money to use the PTCGO because you still need the codes on which you buy them and you still need to have access to a computer which you would also need to buy unless you are borrowing it from a friend. Their is no such thing as a free code unless somebody just gives it to you or if you find one.

Somehow I find one in each boosterpack.

Do you expect the Pokemon Company to provide you a computer? :nonono:

I didn't think i'd have to explain this:

Computer: Nowadays pretty much everyone owns one! I don't think i will offend anyone on an internet forum with this statement. So there's that sorted.

Codes: In the UK packs were £3.50. Then they put codes in. Then packs were £3.50. Theme decks were £10. Then they put codes in. Then theme decks were £10. Tins were £12. Then they put codes in. Then they were £12.

All the codes i have are from packs i bought and would have bought regardless of codes. Buy a box and it's still around £75 but now you get 36 booster codes.

We're all (myself included) FAR too quick to criticise Pokémon at every turn. The online thing is awesome and FREE. I think they deserve props for that :D
