US Nationals: Questions Regarding Registration

Nationals Registration

Players are to have completed their deck lists prior to getting in line. Players with illegible or incomplete deck lists will not be registered and will have to complete a new form.

Players with Origins event tickets for the U.S. National Championships who complete the event registration procedure are guaranteed a seat in the event. Players who do not have an event ticket are not guaranteed a seat in the event and will be processed after all those with tickets have been registered.

What exactly does the second paragraph mean? "Players who do not have an event ticket are not guaranteed a seat in the event and will be processed after all those with tickets have been registered"=What in the world does this mean? So that means players who don't have 'event tickets' can still play in the tournament???

Another question: can one go about getting the coveted 'event ticket' on-site, the morning of the tournament?

Thnx!

The event ticket is just an add-on to the badge. Once you purchase your badge online you must add the Pokemon Nationals onto the badge in order to be pre-registered. You may have to e-mail them if you can't get the ticket on your badge because you can't do a $0.00 transaction.

Double check w/ somebody on that info. I gave you.

Thnx. But what if I do not want to pre-register (because I do not want to create accounts for my 2 brothers, whom of which are also going)? Will we still be allowed to play, by purchasing our badges/event tickets the day-of the tournament (Saturday)?

Yes you will, you just have to register on-site and pay there.
There is limited space, but don't be afraid because POP will find a way to let everyone play who comes, so I am sure you will get in.

Because I won a state championships.. do I automatically get an event ticket with my badge? Otherwise, how do I pre-register for one?

If you sent in your paperwork, you automatically were registered for the event when your badge was entered. At least that is how it worked for my son.

Is there a limit to the amount of people that can attend the event? If so, what time are they wanting to start registration? I heard 9 AM, but that they might start as early as 8 AM.

Well, check the Origins website to pre-reg for the event.

Event size is reported at 696.

There is no more pre-reg being taken. I got told that in Email.

Umbreon- There is around 300 event tickets left for Nationals. If you have an event ticket and are in line by 9 then you are guaranteed a spot in.

Note that PUI has posted a FAQ about registration on their website.

It says that you may start to line up at 8 AM. Registration is officially open from 9 AM to 9:30 AM. We are going to be super orgainzed and have everyone registered in 1/2 an hour!
