Electivire Lv. X

it is up for people who do like the Raichu list. There may be people making a Raichu version and they can tell us how they do.

I have been doing the Raichu list because I liked it better than Flygon, but now I've tried Flygon too, and it is more consistent. I was surprised to be able to do powerful attacks frequently. The only problem with the deck is that magneton can't really be used in a 1-1 line. I simply can't get it out when I'm still busy setting up flygons and electivires, and it is near impossible to topdeck one of them, let alone both. As for Raichu, Magneton is actually a surprise threat as a powerful attacker when you've had Raichu out long enough. I think we should either have a 2-2 Magneton line or we should find a more reliable means of recovering energy.

I use night maintenence to get my energy back. I think that this works even with Magneton 1-1 but would like it 2-2. I just can't find any space.

PS: I finally got my Vire Lv. X! Playtesting has officially begun. I'll tell you how BRs do in a month or so.

I'm probably not going to be playing this deck, cuz my Nidogon deck just seems to be liking me very much right now. I'll take another look when Ampy comes out. Still, I love the idea, I just don't really have the cards (read: VX) to make this deck.

1-1 Mags is probably enough. You shouldn't be hitting 120 every turn, anyways. 50 or 60 a turn is enough against most decks.

oh. 1-1 Mags works well. I don't need it every game and I usually have enough energy. If only I had Holon Lass!! I could get enough energy and probably lose Mags indefinitely.

Kazam, did you ever think about the suggestion to use the DP Magnemite? I think it was a good one.

And my 'vire X's should be here tomorrow. :-D

I don't like the DP Magnemite because it needs Metal to attack and we don't have any metal in the deck.

Lindsay? Well, if Raichu works better, I have 2 and no one else uses it. I can get some pretty easily.

I think we should find a reliable way to switch our pokemon, especially with Electivire's 3 energy retreat cost. Like, say one of your Electivires will be knocked out next turn, and you have another electivire on the bench. You want to save the energy attached to him, so you use Intense Voltage, and then what? maybe Super Scoop Up?

SSU isn't that consistant and a 1-1-1 magnezone would probably have at least 1 of them prized. I would like to be able to switch. That is what Warp Point is for. Another better method would be appreciated.

Make that spot Warp Point or Switch, and I'd be happy. I like playing 1/1 split WP/Switch, but if I can only play one of the two, then I'm playing Switch. Just a style thing on my part.

Again, it's play style. Make the Warp Point spot a choice b/w WP and Switch, and I'm happy. minor change, but opens up the ability for a couple of different play styles to use that spot.

I think this has already been explained. Even though DP Magnemite would live longer, he's completely useless as anything other than cannon fodder and evolving. The older Magnemite at least allows for another attacking option in the first turn or 2.

We absolutely must talk about the next set, to be titled Secret Wonders. It not only has a new Electivire, but the new Electivire will be in one of the new booster decks. If you haven't seen it yet, make haste to http://www.pokebeach.com/
