First off, despite all of the clamoring that 500 points was "too much" we already have 155 Masters qualified in North America and Europe combined. This certainly doesn't say to us that 500 points is too high a target, given that our general attendance goals sit between 128 and 150...
I've posted the U.S. Nationals side event schedule here.

We have a couple of events listed that I think should be pretty exciting for those in attendance. Check it out!

All,
Below you’ll find a general side event schedule for U.S. Nationals. We’ve been able to add a few cool new things this year which unfortunately delayed our ability to get a schedule posted publicly.
For the events that do not have prizes listed, prize levels will be posted on site.
Hope...
LOL! Only 9 posts until *this* is the worst decision TPCi has ever made. That may be a record.
;)
As for promos and such, most are reprints of existing legal cards. For those that are not, and/or do not have an official release date, the Play! team will set an OP release date for...
Beginning with the Pokémon TCG release in August 2014, Play! Pokémon will now set the tournament legality date of all new TCG sets for 21 days after the official street dates in all markets worldwide at three weeks after the official release date.
This means that if a TCG set releases on the...
We certainly do not disregard feedback we see online, nor do we disregard feedback we receive in person. I spoke to many, many players and parents at events this year. The team has spoken directly with many players and parents this year. I personally heard as much, if not more, praise of the...
During the course of any tournament season, players must be flexible and adapt to a vast number of variables. Strategies change based on match-ups, new decks appear and disappear throughout the course of a season, and at each step, players must adjust to those changes in order to be...
There will be a Play Point requirement, as well as an entry fee. Once the requirement and fee is reviewed and approved by the executive team, we'll get it posted.
Thank you,

Top 100 is each age division (separately) and for U.S. and Canada only. These are *not* separated. If a Canadian is 45th, they will earn the corresponding stipend to Canadian Nationals (TCG), not a travel award for being the #1 rated Canadian in the list.
Thank you,

It's currently not viewed as such, but perhaps we'll need to look at that. Every single think you used as an example above would qualify as coercion. A favorite story related to me recently from back in the early days of Magic: The Gathering, when players were just sort of learning about IDs...
All,
It has just come to my attention that due to an internal miscommunication that the table shared both here, and on Pokemon.com is not correct.
The issues exist mainly in the 9-32 attendance range, and will be updated on Pokemon.com shortly. This should have little to no effect on...
It does look strange, but that's there so that we can adjust the number of day two rounds if we feel it necessary to do so in the future. For example, if all you Masters players decide that you're super excited about going to events, and there are a lot more events hitting that attendance...
