If you can evolve the basic the same turn it is put down with Ditto then yes it is amazing. I can't see them letting you use Ditto's ability once he has been transformed. It would be like letting an evolved pokemon use an ability on its previous stage.

Ditto seems like a total waste of deck space, 2 cards to play a basic from your hand seems ridiculously dumb. If he made a copy of a benched pokemon or even an opponents basic he would be awesome. Base set Blastoise for the win. Keldeo EX, Blastoise and Shaymin UD would have been a great combo.

Right now I am playtesting a Mew EX/Accelgor/Gothitelle/ Darkrai EX deck that is working way better than I expected it to. Can't wait till August so I can get my hands on the actual cards.

Insane ability, but it won't see any play. No need for a 4x weakness when in general every card in the meta one-hits everything that is weak to it already, and if not then it two hits for sure.
