Hi i'm Tristan Lackey. I, hopefully, will become a frequent poster here on PokeGym. This tournament marks my third year of playing Pokemon, and boy am I excited. I am from North Carolina, and I am in the Seniors division. Age 13.
I had spent the night at my friends house. Always a smart idea. Even better with 5 hours, give or take, of sleep.
Anyways, we play some Reach and then he takes me home. I take a shower, type up my list and wait for us to leave. We do so, and we pick up Walker. Then we are officially on our way. We get there around 12:25 or so, register and I eat my Baconator that we picked up. :biggrin: I screw around, passing time by watching my friend Collin play Micheal. Pairings go up and we are underway.
3 rounds, no Top Cut. Juniors and Seniors were combined.
Round 1:
Tristan with HoPe vs. Jacob? with every water starter. (I also played his brother. Either Jacob or Joseph.)
My opening hand was pretty good. Except for my starting Pokemon. I chose Azelf stupidly over Promocroak, even though I had Poke Turn in my hand. I had all i needed to get a T2 Shuppet with a belt, 'cept for the fact Shuppet was prized. He starts with the Suicune promo. I draw Staraptor Lvl X. Pass. He draws, attaches, passes. I draw, collector for Blaziken FB, Starapetor FB and Crobat G. Flash bite Suicune, attach a fire to azelf, pass. He attaches, plays down Mantine, ends. I draw, Cyrus for a fire, E-Gain, and a cyrus, Attach to Blaziken, retreat, Vapor Kick for 60. He draws, attaches, Sheer Cold for the K.O. I respond with a knockout via Flash Bite. I Aarons back a fire and a Blaziken, attach to Blaziken and end. He attaches, uses the first attack, and grabs a Squirtle. I draw, free retreat, E-Gain, Blaziken Lvl X, Jet Shoot for the game. GG

In Between: My sister is looking fairly sick. She has a cold. :frown: I then just hang out and wait for the pairings. I'm playing my best friend, Caleb.
Round 2:
Tristan with HoPe vs. Caleb with DialgaChomp
Started with Blaziken, Collector and a Cyrus. I was happy to say in the least. He starts with Azelf and topdecks a Bronzong. He plays it down, attach a call and grabs Garchomp and Dialga. I draw, get a fire energy, Collector for Staraptor, Honchkrow and Uxie i believe. I attach, play some cards, and Set-Up for 5 which gets met by a Power Spray. I was sad, but not for long. I Luring Flame his Bronzong which he Poke Turns. He sends up Azelf, attaches to Dialga and ends. I draw, attach a dark to Krow, and Luring Flame Bronzong Again. The next few turns consist of me getting Staraptor lvl X, and dealing 60 damage to his Garchomp C. By that time, Bronzong has died. He has attached 1 Sp. Metal, a DCE, a basic Metal, and a DCE and a Psychic to his Dialga and Garchomp. His turn, he draws, sends up Dialga, Leveled Up and Remove Lost for the knockout on Krow. I Double Flash Bite his benched Garchomp C with 60 damage on it for the KO, and then Jet Shoot Dialga for the KO. By then he is screwed, especially since i had 2 power sprays waiting for when he dropped 2 more Uxies. GG Caleb. Sorry about the unfairness Bro.
Note: All 4 of my Power Sprays this game were used on Uxies. I denied him of over 20 cards i believe.
Also, time was called somewhere in there. I still won regardless.

In between: Looks like Walker was right, I won the tournament. Don't have time to do much so i just get a drink of water. Then pairings go up.

I T1 donkned him with Krow. He started with Dunsparce. Crobat, Dark, E-Gain and I win the Tourney. GG

So i know I won the tournament. I Trade Jacob a Professor Elm's and a Cynthia's for 2 PONT. Then I get my packs, my sweet Victory Medal, and got Top of RDL, Bottom of KGL, and Espeon Prime in my packs. Got 2 more in the raffle, but got garbage.
Overall, a good day except for the fact, Chloe, Walker and my Dad all went 1-2 Drop.
