Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

#2 Worldwide (for now) Masters Ranking of 1644.59! Marvin's BR Reports.

KD: Ya sure, I'll send you the current list. Normally, I'd keep it within the team, but I'm working on an article, you're way the heck over there, and BRs are almost done, anyway. lol.

Moderator Note:

This thread had gotten a little bit out of hand. Warnings/Deletes have been applied. If you want to continue with this thread, keep it clean and follow the rules.

PokeDaddy

Thanks man that would be great :)

I saw your name, saw an update, and ran in to see what was going on.

and... I STILL don't know how you're pulling all of that off man.

BOTH Gardys/Flygon/MewtwoX ... that's insane man.

You could post the decklist for the world to see and noone could 1) play it and 2) tech against it.

This is a rogue that only you are gonna understand well enough to make it dance.

Super Hottness man...

I just hope you're off your game if we get matched up at NATS ..

Haha, Marvin, kids are already trying to netdeck -- check out DHS. Good job though, gotta represent.
lol ya. He's from Oregon though, so he's TECHNICALLY not doing that.

Besides, I consider it a compliment. It shows that I'm not just crazy biased: the deck IS that good. lol

Actually, I AM working on an article for it. I have a hectic life, so it's kinda slow-moving . . . but I'm making one!

The list is unbelievable close to my iPlox list :p
*caugh caugh*
Ya, I actually asked the Mods if the lists were too similar, and they still told me to go ahead and do it. lol

I was hoping to be able to be somewhat rogue playing GG this season, but you're already doing a fine job making it popular. :shakefist: Cool to know it works with Flygon so well, though. I haven't had time to test a configuration like that.

Congrats on your record sir across-the-country-from-me! Hope to see you at Nats if college stops killing me...

You should ask Kevin Nance for some input. He won regionals last year, but after going 5-3 with Flygon/Gardy at nats, was just short of a rating invite.

The deck has been run before, by notable, skilled players from the Carolinas. It's good to actually see it have some success in this metagame though. Other people have indeed made the deck and ran it. I'm not trying to talk negatively or anything about your personal success or list, but seeing so many people compliment the deck idea makes me want to give some shouts to the Nances and their gang for running it last season.

I preferred straight GG, and it got me farther than I think I would have gone with Flygon. I got knocked out of top cut after my mesprit was prized both games.

Nah it's cool.

I kinda figured someone notable had tried it before, as the basic idea is just too killer.

Nobody's ever the first to make a deck: they're just the first to make it popular.

QFT. At least you know your style of play won't need to be too augmented with the newer sets coming out. :thumb:

I beat you to it on the Hatter boards. ;) Schneudel RIP.

But congrats again Marvin, may you continue to stomp face.
And maybe one day if you're cool enough you'll switch from ******* to Facebook.

I would, but here's the scenario:

Girlfriend and I both live with parents.
As such, we don't often get "personal time."
So, we're going to the beach to have three days of "personal time."

Gotta go with that over one more Pokemon tourney. lol
