This is a very fun card to play, but not much more than that. The worst failings come with a very low damage attack (attacking the bench for a possible 60 is okay, but flippy and not enough damage in the end), EXTREMELY low HP basic (Hoppip only has 30HP), and low HP on its own. Its Body would be its only stong point, but too many attacks can easily get up to 90 damage, and your suvival is 50/50. On top of that, many decks, like Blissey, not only can easily get up to 90 damage, but also play Cessation Crystal which would make Jumpluff's Body useless. It just doesn't cut it in competitive play. BUT, it is very cute, and very annoying to play against if you are unlucky.

Modified: 5/10

Jumpluff has the potential to be one of the best cards in the format, if you are lucky. If you play against a deck with cessation crystals you are finished. However if you play against a deck that needs powers or bodies (Hurricane, Krow, Garde/lade, anything else with delcatty's) you could potentially be unstoppable. 90HP isn't much, but you may never take damage. The attack also has the potententail to be good. 30 to two different pokemon is decent for 2 energy, and even if you miss, you may not take damage next turn anyways.

Modified 9/10 if you're lucky, 2/10 if you're not

Combo with Sunflora? If only Sitrus Berry were still around, I'd use it with Quagsire-d.

I could see it being moderately competitive, but not top-tier.

Unlimited- Play it with Sleep! and Focus Band  Pretty good odds of not fainting, even if the Poke-Body fails.

Modified- I don't know about the strength of this little guy. I saw some kids mom playing a deck with this plus Venusaur, and she had R-Gon from a highly experienced player and judge all in tangles. I couldn't believe it. I had never seen anything like that happen in my life, especially when she WON! But, I'd say that she was overly lucky on the majority of her coin flips. True, it beat R-Gon, but can it beat something with Cessation Crystal in effect? No.

Limited- Yeah, sniping ability is nice. Free Retreat is cool. Resistance doesn't do a whole lot in this format, but the weakness to Ho-Oh can hurt a tiny bit. 90 HP plus a great body that even makes that last longer, it just keeps getting better here.

But don't get me wrong guys. I'm not saying this is a good card! I'm just saying that it performs well in Limited, and in the hands of a person with a lucky coin.

Jumpluff is a probablity Pokémon. It has a 50% chance to prevent incoming damage (Cotton Spore Poké-Body) or deal up to 60 damage to one of your opponent's Pokémon (Cottonweed Punch). Its probability on inconsistency and lack of strong attacks does not make it a primary hitter. Its Cotton Spore Poké-Body makes Jumpluff useful as a defensive Pokémon.

Limited: 6/10
Fun: 2/10

Not very strong. It's the new age fossil stall with Donphan but not more than that. If it gets a lot of play I might think of teching an Unown E in my decks. The one that let's your opponent flip all coins tails.

unless you consistently flip over 50% heads/evens stay away from this card. it's not nearly as good as the old jumpluff from TEAM ROCKET RETURNS expansion. the body is better but the attack is terrible, especially for two green, and with cessation crystal this card just folds to blissey and even mario depsite resistance. they'll eat your benched hoppips before you even know what happened. i rate it as so but hey you can make your own opinions and that's the beauty of it.

Unlimited-0/10
Limited-4/10
Modified-3/10

Jumpluff definately falls in the category of "fun" cards, sadly with too weak of an attack to do anything more. Stat-wise, 90 HP is low for a Stage 2 Pokemon, +30 Weakness to Fire (bad since Magmortar is about), -20 Resistence to Fighting (good since Mario and Lucairo are around), and 0 Retreat Cost. Its Poke-Body, Cotton Spore, is a great one; whenever you would be damaged by an attack, you get a chance to essentially negate the damage with a coin flip of Heads. Sadly, with Jumpluff's low HP, you'd need to continually flip Heads in order to live through many attacks that would otherwise OHKO him. Its sole attack, Cottonweed Punch, is ok but very underpowering for a Stage 2; you get to flip 2 coins, and for each Heads you get to target one of their Pokemon for 30 damage. Ok sniping, but you'll need to do much more than that to ever win a game.

Modified - 5/10 (A fun card that could work in theory, but overall underpowered)
Limited - 9/10 (If you ever get this out, Cotton Spore could let you live for a while and target their Pokemon on the bench that haven't evolved yet)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Too weak)

may work with absol ex but more likely NOT. I'd Still use Lucario or Empoleon

Cotton spore is nice but sniping is the thing right now so no

7/10 modified
9/10 limited good luck getting out
1/10 why else its to much energy for an attack that has a 25% of failing to much of a chance

This is just one of those cards that you'd be best off playing if you just wanted to screw around during a tournament or fun play. It's definitely a card I'd consider playing just because it's there to be annoying.

Retreat cost and low energy attack is a plus, but the fact that just the damage is affected (special conditions still get through) and it's body is easily shut off is where this card crashes.

I'd give it a 6.5/10... mostly because it's an annoying card.
