Supporter such as TV Reporter and Oak's visit aren't good for teaching? Seriously, if a kid is too young to understand the difference between "draw two cards" and "draw three cards then discard one," then I'd be concerned about them being too young to play the game anyway. This card has no good points; stop trying to make it seem like it does.

It's not that kids can't understand that they have to discard with POV and TVR, it's just that it is asking them to make a difficult and tactical choice as to which card they DO discard. Once players become more competent and understand their decks, then they can make the right decision most of the time. However, when a player is starting out, that is not the case.
 
Hey, I'm a new player and It's really worthless to me. I think this card Is only good for starters, but for me, I couldn't even draw a dang energy, TV reporter,TGM, Pokedex, Oak's visit are way better than this. but If you need at least a Supporter or energy, This card will give you luck.

Today's CotD is Mom's Kindness from MD. This is basically Bill reprinted in Supporter form, which sadly doesn't do much for you. Drawing 2 cards is ok, but there are so many other, better options for draw, it's not really that funny. Though, if you had some pretty cool judges at today's prerelease, they'll let you draw 4 instead of 2 JUST for today, lol.

Modified - 1/10 (No use, there are many better draw option)
Limited - 10/10 (Unlike Modified, this is a great option for draw since there are so few cards that will let you otherwise)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Why use this over Bill?)
 
Well, since Bill was reprinted as a Supporter in Japan, so in theory this cannot be the worst Supporter ever (besides, doesn't Rival still hold the reign as the worst Supporter ever since good players will leave you with bad cards?). However, as many other people have said, there are many better Supporters that draws 2 cards AND give you other benefits such as Galatic's Mars, Island Hermit, and such. So yeah ... it is a pretty bad card outside of limited where any kind of draw helps.

Come on guys!!! This card is awesome!!! Dont you see how uber broken it is? Ive never known pokemon to make filler trainers/supporters before. Other bad trainers/supporters were at least unique. Btw I dont agree with anyone who says rival is better than this. That card is so bad.

I should call the Department of Social Services on this Mom's brand of Kindness.


0/10 - because when I used it in drafts and in the PR I drew into nothing useful.

And this is a great example of how the Pokemon card game started off with such good cards that were decided too good and thus bogged down. At least D/P gets rid of that idea a bit by not having so many things a LvX CAN'T do. >.>

Dang....a lot of people disliking this card. I don't see it as a reaally bad card, just not useful if you don't use Absol in combo w/TGM.
 
They won't use this in DP5 Starter decks, they'll use Bucks/Cynthias based on which starter deck it is.

1/10 just because its the only supporter in MD.
