Unlike most tools in DP-SV, Bubble Coat is unusual in that it is discarded after a turn. Most often, it is a bad thing, although considering its effects, it seems to be too overpowered if it stays attached.

By removing a weakness once, Bubble Coat can potentially turn a 1-hit KO to 2-hit KO. Although SPs (and even some Evolved Level X's) theoretically can make good use of this due to their x2 weaknesses, SPs do not frequently use this because they would probably opt for Unown G and Energy Gain (needless to say, Machamp and Gengar are bigger threats). And even then, SPs can tech in Lucario GL to even out the playing field in terms of weakness.

The bad thing about the card IMO is that it is only for one-of use. If you're opponent has 2 potential attackers, like in Luxape, then you might just be wasting a tool. Say you have an Active Beedrill with Bubble Coat (just for the sake of example ) and the opponent has a Blaziken FB, the opponent can just switch to Luxray anyway to deal damage, making Bubble Coat somewhat useless. It does not help that you are telegraphing to your opponent that you are anticipating a hit that targets the weakness.

Maybe it can be good in decks that can't run Exploud (SV). But even then, I doubt it is worth it to make space for a non-searchable tool that can be discarded after a turn. It may be better when Department Girl comes out, but right now, I just don't think it can make a great impact.

Modified- 4/10 (maybe consider this if weakness is the reason why your deck will not be viable)
Limited- 8/10 (great here since removing the weakness can help your Pokemon last longer, and with only 4 Prize Cards, reducing the chance for OHKO's is vital)

OMG this card is great now that I think about it! imagine it in the flygon mirror - drop a bubble coat and KO their flygon and they can't KO you back. Imagine teching it in Gyarados meaning Luxray/Lucario can't one-hit you. Dropping it on a mewtwo so Ninetales cannot one-shot it etc. Even a tech in Blastoise! I love it! 8/10.
