Gengar X will probably be bad, just like how Empoleon decks were better without the Lv X.

Once during your turn (before your attack), when you play this card from your hhand to Level Up one of your Pokemon, search your opponent's deck, playfield, discard pile, hand, and prizes for cards named "Unown G." Put all of them in the Lost Zone.
 
The only reason Gengar deck win is because they get all their prizes by flips, Most Gengar decks are losing to Flygon which will easilly deck them out.
This card is horrible.

I will have to disagree. Most knock outs in Gengar are with the combination of Crobat G + Shadow Room. With the addition of Nidoqueen, most Gengars don't get knocked out in 2-3 turns of it being active.

If this is true you're getting a cookie, anyways, this card rarely fails me and I find it reliable, 9.9/10 just because of the dreaded tails from FS
 
No doubt 10/10

Won my first Battle Roads with this card. I mixed my Gengar with Geratina & Weavile. If your opponent tries to lighten his hand of trainer card that's when you play a Lookers Investigation.
 
Gengar really isnt all that great. its attacks can be controlled, when your opponent can conrol the damage you do its not a good thing. dont get me wrong i dont think its worthless but people are just making a really big deall about it.
 
I am King Gengar, so Gengar is King, right? Not exactly.

Loses to Dark, so Shiftry has a chance, as does anything that runs Weavile SW.

Gengar will see its share of Glaceon Lv.X as Eeveelutions becomes popular again.

Amphytric isn't exactly dead, and Amphy itself has good combinations.

But is Gengar GOOD? oh yes!

Best or one of the top 2 or 3 best snipers in the game. No Retreat. Wicked Poke-Power lets you win for losing. The reason is CAN be best BCIF is because it actually loses! haha

But let us not forget Pitch-Dark which makes Gar-Champ one of the most formidable decks out there. Mother Gengar is good, but not AS good, IMO. Gengar/SP hybrid is a good deck. In fact, King Gengar (with Kingdra) is supposed to be pretty good (go figure).
