I am sure that everyone knows the Pokémon card that is the most valuable in the hobby. It is too expensive for me. I do not have the money to buy it. There have been two Illustrator sets released some time ago: the 2009 Pichu and the 2011 Zorua. The 2009 one has 13 cards while the 2011 one has 11 cards.
I have seen lots of the 2011 set on ebay and on other Pokémon card retailers' websites, but the 2009 set hardly surfaces. In fact, I have not seen the 2009 set on ebay for about 3 or 4 years.
Five years ago, one ebay seller sold the 2009 cards individually for $250 US apiece, which were all ungraded. He would consider the best offer. I bought one at the quoted price because I thought it was a good deal. I have a few questions about the 2009 and 2011 sets.
(1) Is the 2009 Illustrator set much rarer the 2011 set?
(2) Do you think I got ripped off for only 1 ungraded 2009 Illustrator card for $250 US?
(3) What is a reasonable price for the complete 2009 Illustrator set ungraded?
