But Azelf/Downer requires you to have both Mesprit and Uxie in play.
Seems to me Mewtwo X was more the play.

My palkia deck plays 4 mesprit and 4 uxie so azelf is an amazing tech that slows sp decks so much. It makes the luxape matchup much more winnable.

That's right. It is not hard to do with roseannes and call energy. There were a few mewtwos but they did not do well with dialga in most of the palkia decks.

No, I actually do know. You don't have to compete in every tournament to know your pokemon.

I think after looking at the top three

LUXRAY/Infernape
LUXRAY/Manactric
LUXRAY/Palkia

you should realize Infernape was never supposed to be the main player

There is wisdom in here....... I know more than a few players (at least 4 of whom top32'd) who after extensive testing all week rebuilt 24-48 hours before and dropped the lamentable ape.

Masters played 8 rounds of swiss in two flights.

There where then two rounds of best 2 out of three (45 minutes) to cut to top 32. (16 from each flight.)

15 rounds overall.

Beedrill got me to T32 (~17th overall) before falling to Ben who lost to Pooka in T8.

Not bad for a 50 year old Pokedad at his 2nd Nats.

Had a great time.

But yeah, prices are gonna go up slightly.
