[gal=49518] 2010-1-20 Mewtwo Rumble 9/16 [/gal]

1st.

Weakness is bad, Retreat is not great, HP is good for basic and attack is under powered but simple.
Not bad for rumble, good for new players.
9/10 rumble
5.5/ modified
1/10 unlimited

A great easy to use card for beginners that hits hard.

Playing rumble, I agree it gets a high score. 9/10.

Modified... (shame it doesn't take DCE) 6/10... great for new players still!

High HP for a basic is good but weakness is dangerous in this environment!

This guy isn't too bad. I like the Majestic Dawn Mewtwo a little better, but at least this non-lvl.x form can hit for a little harder. Art is pretty intriguing.

1/10 Modified (no use really - better opions)
1/10 Unlimited (no use really - better opions)
1/10 Rumble (Impossible to throw two psy ones ^^)

Pokemon Rumble Cards are horrible. C'mon 3 for 70 when many cards do 3 for 100 or more. MD Mewtwo owns this card. In fact, MD Mewtwo is the best Mewtwo of all. Self-Charge, heal 60 and deal 60. MD Mewtwo and the LV. X have the best synergy. While the X drops the 3 energies with Giga Burn, MD Mewtwo puts 2 back on after you put 1 on per turn.

As for rumble cards i wouldn't use this in the TCG game, but its a fun card to use when you are playing Rumble. I'd give te card a 9/10, but thats only for rumble, beyound that this card gets a 1/10

Well. . . It's cute. . . It doesn't look like origami. . .

Gotta be a 10/10 just for the hope that Pokemon read this and stop making origami like cards.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

This card has been done wrong by the way.

If you look close enough you'll see that instead of level 65, if you look close enough it reads, Level 6.5

Rule of thumb: Don't use rumble cards in anything other than Rumble.

1/10 - Modified (There are MUCH better options)
2/10 - Rumble (Like said above, impossible to throw two psy)
.0000000000000001/10 - Unlimited (Do I even have to say? This card is useless here)

It's a joke -_-

It shouldn't be though:tongue:

Today's CotD (and second from the PSP, typing this all out on it sucks, but I have no other option atm) is Mewtwo from the Rumble set. Statwise, 100 HP is great for a Basic, ×2 Weakness to :psychic: hurts, no Resistance is common, and :colorless: :colorless: to Retreat is pricey. Super Psy Bolt isn't bad at :psychic: :psychic: :colorless: for 70, but it isn't super great either.

Modified - 5/10 (Not as good as other options out there, but can work in getting the Lv X form out, and is slightly more damaging than the popular MD one)
Limited - 0/10 (From the Rumble set)
Unlimited - 1/10 Eh, does anyone use Mewtwo here besides Base set one for stall deck?)
Rumble - ??/10 (Still haven't checked out Rumble...really should one day)

Normally I come in here and blast the absolutely bad cards, but let's play devil's advocate today...

First, ask yourselves a simple question: what makes Mewtwo Rumble better than Mewtwo MD?

Two little things:

#1) Stronger damage attack
#2) Higher HP

Now, what makes Mewtwo Rumble worse than Mewtwo MD?

#1) Lack of Energy Absorption
#2) Lack of Recover

Now, the final question: when would Mewtwo Rumble be a better play for its advantages over Mewtwo MD, despite its disadvantages?

I argue that with the rise of Garchomp C LV.X come DCE's release, this Mewtwo may actually have an edge over its MD counterpart ONLY because of the extra HP.

It's a given that if your SP opponent doesn't run a counter, then you auto-win the matchif Mewtwo LV.X gets out. Of course, the only way for a deck like this to avoid Mewtwo LV.X is by sniping its non-LV.X counterpart. If you do everything in your power to avoid that snipe, then your auto-win is that much more likely.

So if you value your auto-win that much, then this typically awful card may actually see play over MD.

Not to say that I WOULD play it over Mewtwo MD, but...It's a thought.

This Mewtwo is just bad. 100 HP is great for a basic, but seriously, only one attack? I am outraged that a legendary Pokemon would have only one attack. Super Psy Bolt, though it hits for a decent 70, is expensive. DCE can't even work with this card. The weakness isn't the best due to Gardevoir or Gengar, and the retreat cost just doesn't fit it.

Overall 1/10 in Modified

This is Mewtwo is just a joke. Mewtwo MD is way better than the Rumble Mewtwo because Mewtwo MD gets energy out of the discard and can recover. This Mewtwo lacks it. Yep, Rumble Mewtwo is just not good.:nonono:

Lol i love pokemon rumble its just a way to past time or if you have nothing else to do but i probably will never play this card in the TCG

9/10 for rumble

4/10 for the tcg
