Lost World variant - 10/10
Without LW - 6/10

I'd rather just play the SF Gengar. As a certain member has showed me with a list, this card is the hands down BDIF with Lost World. However, in the current format, it's really just not that good.

I have to agree that the nay-sayers aren't appreciating the REMOVED FOR THE REST OF THE GAME aspect of Gengar Prime. Paired with Mew Prime and some rainbow energies it is still a very devastating deck. If you can Cast Into Darkness the SP basics, then the Lv Xs become unplayable. How is that bad?

The only tough thing with Gengar Prime is it is a Stage 2 Pokemon. With the current Rare Candy format and Spiritomb AR, that isn't so bad. But when the Black & White Rules kick in it may change.

After some significant testing without Lost World this card isn't that great. The 1st attack is decent, but you need to make sure that you can zone something good. I'm still unsure about teching it in a genplume list.

6/10

OMG I love the people that see the best part about this card THE DISRUPTION PART!!!!! Screw Lost World this card is good without it because if you can combo it with Seeker, Omystar even the new spiritomb anything to where they get pokemon in their hand this is a big disruption and yes when lost world hits it will be even more broken but people who only want to use it in lost world just want a easy victory. I like it to be a challange not face one and on like turn 2 you win. But i aint the person to say what you can use i find it a cheap way to win.

I gives this card a 8.5/10

Even without Lost World, Gengar Prime is still a dangerous Pokemon.

Pros: Colorless Resistance. Free retreat cost. Good HP total. The ability to exile Pokemon can really wreck certain decks (Gyarados, Jumpluff, Lvl. X-heavy decks). Excellent combinatory potential (Cursegar, Gengar Lvl. X, Crobat G, hit-and-run Pokemon like Uxie or Palkia G, TM-TS2 Devoluter). Some of the best art on any Pokemon Prime.

Cons: Darkness Weakness. Doesn't do enough damage by itself. Vulnerable to Dialga G Lvl. X. Nearly broke the rating scale :nonono:.

All in all, I'd give Gengar Prime a 4.5/5 without Lost World, and a 6/5 with it.
