1st! the dreaded slowbro, only good at the pre-release, why not play magmorter instead??? 5/10, 10/10 in prerelease though!.
"Not very good, takes to long ot setup" fail.

2/10

All they need to do is Big Yawn and the opponent has Unown G attached. Fail.

Other attack is way to slow to set up, and there are no cards like Weavile for Psychic Pokemon.

Reatreat Cost is pretty bad.

Resistence is. . . Sigh they can't even give us that.

And Weakness is just the Chuck on the Norris. . .Did I just say a Chuck Norris joke? *Splashes Water over face*

Served me well in a PR Draft along side my army of 8 Quillfish. Otherwise, I would never even consider this card.

It's not as terrible as I thought it would be at first glance. 110 for four Psychic? Not bad. Sure, you might need to rely on Togekiss GE or something, or Leafeon LV.X to help boost your Energy attachment, but I can see this in a Rogue deck for sure. Unown G renders its first attack useless, but this guy can OHKO a Donphan Prime with Madkinesis.

5/10. There are still better choices, nonetheless. :p

Best Card In Format HANDS DOWN!!!! will sweep provincials/states, regionals, nationals, and even worlds!!! 13086/10

Here we go, another card I played at prerelease. You know what that means? This Pokemon is rated in all 3 categories: modified, limited, and unlimited.

But man, no wonder slow fits this card in which it isn't the best.

90 HP is OK for a stage 1, but the lightning weakness really hurts with Luxray still dominating, and the retreat cost doesn't look that fitting.

So Slowbro is really not an attractive card. Big Yawn for a single :water: energy does 30, then Slowbro and the defending Pokemon go alsleep? What a joke; putting Slowbro to sleep too isn't good. It should be done only to the defending and that's it, Slowbro doesn't need to be involved. The second attack, however, has little bit more usage. It does 30 plus 20 for each :psychic: energy on him. This means if you can put 3 :psychic: energies on Slowbro, you can do 90 damage and 110 if there's expert belt. Thus the attack isn't really that bad compared to its first attack.

Overall 3/10 in modified, 7/10 in limited, and 1/10 in unlimited

In modified, it really has no usage at all. Luxray is popular right now and Slowbro just fears it, so Slowbro can't really see that much play. However, the fact it has a nice way of using expert belt is OK at least, as well as taking down Donphan fairly well. Slowking, its counterpart from GS, is a lot better compared to this Slowbro.

In limited, here's where Slowbro can shine. There isn't a lot of :lightning: Pokemon in GS, so this card can do fairly well, especially when it goes against Donphan.

In unlimited, there's really no use for Slowbro, and I really mean, no use for it at all.

What about Ampharos HGSS? No not the prime.
It allows you to search your deck for 2 basic energy cards and attach them to any one Pokemon.

(It can be any kind of energy and it does 30 damage)

Anyways, 3 turns isn't "long" right now, but low HP kills it for me since it can be KO'd rather easily, you do not have enough time to set up another one, you'd lose a turn.

5/10

Today's CotD is Slowbro from GS...again, not terribly bad, but at the same time not terribly good either. Statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to :lightning: is eh, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless: to Retreat is a tad pricey. Big Yawn is nothing that special, dealing 30 for :water: and putting both Slowbro and the Defending Pokemon to sleep. Madkinesis is kinda ok...sort of; 30 for :colorless::colorless::colorless: initially is horrible, but dealing 20 more for each :psychic: Energy on Slowbro has the potential to make it a solid 90 for 3 Energy, providing those are all :psychic:.

Modified - 5/10 (Again, average at best)
Limited - 8/10 (Load him up with :psychic: Energy and watch him OHKO even the toughest Pokemon)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here)

Even if you get the 3 Psychic Energies on it to do 90, its low HP will probably cause it to be OHKOed, which makes it unplayable in the current format. The first attack is not very good, as Sleep will probably be prevented by Unown G. So, Slowbro, as a hermit, should wander around to a nice spot in the binder and stay there for a while, because I don't think that this will see any play. It's just too slow and unpowerful.
