One of the best cards in format. Amazing.

You can use this is almost every deck.

Modified: 10/10 (see above!)
Limited: 11/10 (You're amazingly lucky to get this card in prerelease...)
Unlimited: 8/10 (still amazing, but they've got Double Rainbow...)

Every ones favorite doouble collorless energy its great with electrovire fb x because you can get them out of your discard pile and witht he double collores ellectrovire fb x just as quick as luxray gl x and it great with flygon and slamance and garchomp so yes its awsome.

Only two minor drawbacks...

It's not a basic, so you cannot search for it with basic energy search cards (Roseanne's)...

It only helps Pokemon that can use two colorless...

BUT for the Pokemon that can use double colorless 10/10!

The more the faster the better. DCE is practically a staple for most decks... I did say most :thumb:

10/10

25th FTW!!!!!!!

This is the best card ever, ever since base set. Just due to shear history and the dawn of time, Double Colorless has stuck with us without a doubt. I mean think of the retreat costs and attack costs that wouldn't have made it without this card. This card really shines.

10/10

Eh, I like DRE more, mainly because it's far more flexible in matching Energy needs, even with the -10 damage (plus it's been usable a whole lot more). Still, DCE is easily 2nd best maybe?

Anyways, today's CotD is the mentioned Double Colorless Energy, a card that hasn't been seen since Base Set way way long ago (raise your hand if you still have any old ones :thumb:). Providing :colorless::colorless: Energy of course is very good, as many stronger attacks often have a :colorless::colorless: cost as well as one Energy of their (usually) native type (like :water: or :fire:), so this can usually turn most 3 Energy cost attacks into basically 2 Energy ones. Though I'm willing to bet now the card creators will turn into jerks and start making strong attacks cost 2 of their native Energy and 1 :colorless: XD

Modified - 9/10 (If your deck can use it, you run it. If not, don't bother. Plain and simple)
Limited - 10/10 (May as well use any you have, the worst that can happen is that you might not draw it)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Ok this score is probably wrong, but I don't remember how often DCE was still used)

awesome card... pokemon tcg should be bringing more broken cards from the past...something like pidgeot from fr-lg with quick search, in that way of thought....
the level of brokeness is lifted up just by the simple fact that there are no energy removal cards whatsovever in this format.....
my rating.......

modified: 10/10
unlimited: 8/10

in my honest opinion, it is the 3rd best enegy card ever printed. the 2nd was DRE and the 1st best energy are basic energies...decks cant run without them. (except for a select few)

yes arceus that is sort of true, but then think about sp decks. All sp decks rely on basics, and e-gains, so really in the long run call can be better than dce. it makes it that much easier to get out luxray to mess up your opponent.

Double Rainbow doesn't work with Flygon's Poke-Body.

If it's a Garchomp SP deck then both DCE and Call should be in.

DRE>DCE

No because it doesn't work with Flygon's Poke-Body. DCE > DRE

DCE doesn't work with Flygon's PokeBody either (no Special Energy does), so . . . what the flip are you on about? Flygon isn't really even a tier 1 deck any more.

Anyway, I find it highly ironic that the card that many thought would help speed up slower Stage 2 decks has ended up finding it's best use in one of the quickest decks in the format (Luxchomp).

Even so, if you have [C][C] in any of your attack costs, you run this card.

9/10

you know when a cards good when it goes onto page 2 lol
anyway, its a really good card for almost any stage 2 decks:tongue: and sp decks:nonono:

Yay. More Base Set reprints! This one's actually creating an impact on the current format, and a significant one at that. Good thing I held onto mine from back in the day.
