Once again, we finally get a CotD post after several days. Man, it seemed like forever.
So we get to Review Feraligatr Prime, right (as would Lyra in the Pokemon anime would say)??? Well then, lets get to it. 140 HP is great for a stage 1, and the weakness is not too bad right now since :grass: isn't that popular in the format right now, but you may still need to watch out for Jumpluff or Speedrills out there. The retreat cost though is heavy sadly.
Well, there is one reason why this card is quite known, and that's because of its poke-power Rain Dance. Well, do you remember Blastoise from the Base Set. It had that same poke-power, and now its back. Rain Dance is indeed one amazing poke-power for several reasons. One, it can attach lots of energies onto many Pokemon in a single turn, so Feraligatr is such an amazing energy attacher. Two, Rain Dance can't be power-sprayed. That's right, you can use it as often as you like, so you don't need to worry about these pesky Power Sprays from SPs wrecking your powers. The attack is kind of decent however. Sure it needs lots of energies to use it, but Rain Dance can help you here to give you speed. With that in mind, it can be very effective late game, doing 60 plus 10 for each damage counter on the defending is just insane.
Overall 6/10 in modified
Yes, indeed, this card is just awesome. It can just destroy Donphans too. Currently, it can be played with Lumineon MT. Lumineon has an attack that does 30 for each :water: energy on it. Then you return the energies to your hand. Have Feraligatr out and you can be doing lots of damage every turn. No wonder Feraligatr can be a pain. The problem with it though is that Gyarados currently outclasses it. It also can be a bit slow to set up, so it obviously isn't the best card out there.
