Today's CotD is Exeggutor from GS, a card that hearkens back to the simpler days of stacking mass Energy onto something, the flipping for (hopefully) equally mass damage. Statwise, 90 HP is solid for a Stage 1, x2 Weakness to
sychic: is bad, no Resistance is common, and :colorless::colorless: to Retreat is meh. Energy Absorption is pretty basic, letting you attach 2 Energy cards (note this interesting does not state Basic Energy only) from your discard onto Exeggutor for :colorless:, which in turn fuels attack #2. Big Eggsplosion has a lot of damage potential; 40 for each Heads you flip for each Energy on Exeggutor for just
sychic: is downright nasty, and with DCE back in the format, this attack has the potential to do a lot (plus the first attack can nab them back out of the discard, something not a lot of cards can do). It's only flaw (besides the low HP) is that it's not :grass:...imagine all the fun it could have had with Sceptile GE otherwise .
Modified - 7/10 (Good enough to at least be rogue and a fun deck at league, but the HP definitely hampers it, even with Expert Belt kicking in another 20).
Limited - 9/10 (Definitely fun to use here, and effective with both of its attacks at almost any stage of the game)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Not much use here though, though still fun?)
