This card is quite useful for being a Crobat G every turn. Its attack is quite nice as well, though it doesn't really matter. Good for decks that need that extra 10.

9/10 (Modified Format)

The card has an excellent Power that makes it a great tech in any stage two deck. The card can be fit into any deck that has a difficult time against Donphan to give you an auto win in addition to having the power for other matchups; or just the quick 60 damage attack.
It also makes an excellent deck for both its HP and quick hitting power.
7.5/10

definately not a tech. if you wanna play this, play it in its own deck mixed with kingdra from legends awakened. 7.6/10 because one energy for 60 is great but can come short late game

Impressive addition to the Kingdra family. Played 2-2 with the old DP Kingdra means you can do 60 to the active and 40 to the bench each turn. That's a lot of damage output for just one energy...You can swarm with it, hide behind a Mr Mime and Spray Splash, or just tech it into Gengar and snipe all day.

The 2x weakness to Luxray is really the only bad thing about this card, but you can always tech in a Donphan or two to deal with it.

9/10

Today's CotD for Father's Day (happy Father's Day to all the Poke-Dads out there) is Kingdra Prime from UL...well, while it has nothing to do with Father's Day, still an interesting card. Statwise, 130 HP is average for a Stage 2 (though as a Prime, you'd think it'd have more), x2 Weakness to :lightning: is meh with Luxray GL running about, no Resistance is common, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Spray Splash is an excellent Poke-Power, you can't really argue against a free damage counter on one of your opponent's Pokemon a turn, it's a free Crobat G every turn instead of every turn you can Poke-Turn it. Dragon Steam itself deals a nice 60 for :water:, though it weakens to 20 damage if your opponent has any :fire: Pokemon out. Overall, a nice addition for Kingdra decks, which have been AWOL since what, Cities at least.

Modified - 7/10 (I wouldn't recommend running a deck solely through him, but instead around 2 copies in addition to 2 good ol' Kingdra LA as your main bruiser)
Limited - 8/10 (Hard to get out being a Stage 2, but you can't argue against a cheap, damaging attack and great Poke-Power)
Unlimited - 2/10 (I'll be nice and not give it a 1 since its attack is so cheap, but honestly, there's still the old mantra of better Pokemon to use)

Arguably the most expensive card to come out of HS Unleashed, Kingdra Prime comes with a respectable 130 HP and a Poke Power that people who cram Crobat G into every deck for that extra +10 will surely appreciate. Unlike a Crobat G, Kingdra Prime can't just be splashed (see what I did there?) into any deck. It will most likely see play in pairs alongside its counterpart from Legends Awakened, since the presence of any fire-type on the opponent's field reduces Kingdra Prime's attack to a whopping 20, which makes this card a bit less dependable without back-up.

7/10 - A nice addition to the 1-for-60 family, although its drawback keeps it from being comfortably played by itself.

Spray Splash is going to probably make this card see a lot of play throughout the time that it is legal, especially after Platinum rotates out. People really seem to like their opportunities to deal damage to the Bench or Active without having to attack.

(Oddly enough, this card seems like a Primed version of the Fire-type Kingdra delta with a universal Power and universal attack).

Awesome card currently runnig a deck with him and crobat it runs fine so i give it a

7/10

and if you have the right cards you can "dunk" with this card.

and the reason i said "dunk" is because thats what it is suppose to be not "donk".....to alot of people dont know what "donk" is well "donk" is a form of British Techno Music so every time you say that you mean that.
and British techno is probably the worst thing i have ever heard and im not meaning to be mean it just does.

Just putting it out their......

Pretty good. I like the power, the attack is okay with not too much fire being played other than charizard and blazechomp.. Lightning weakness really hurts. I prefer Donphan because he's powerful against Lux and he'll never lose damage because of his drawback.

Modified: 7/10 Really good with :water: for 60.
Limited: 7/10 I usually don't like stage 2's in Limited, but this works.
Unlimited: 6/10 Fast and solid (expect Luxray), I think this is a pretty good choice.

It is a good card but a little over hyped.
Having your only attack doing 40 less with a fire guy on your oppenents side is bad. There is fire decks or decks with a good fire pokemon in them out there. With Typlosion Prime,Charizard,Blaziken FB,and Infernape E4 out there,I just can't love the card that much.Plus after the rotation,I think fire will be played more with Ninetails HGSS being good draw power.
It's weakness to Luxray GL hurts this card even more.
The power is really nice.

5/10

Well, now we are talking! Finally, a good card for once!:thumb:

130 HP is pretty average for a stage 2. The lightning really hurts sadly, and the retreat cost is average.

Back then, I thought that Kindgra should only be used for the Poke-power, but it turns out to be the opposite nowadays. Kindgra doesn't have a bad attack either, so both the Poke-power and attack are good. The Poke-power, though, is the essential reason why he is very popular. Basically, the Poke-power is a Crobat drop every single turn, without the need of a Poke Turn. Therefore, you can say that it is a pretty easy-to-use Pluspower. The attack isn't bad, as I have mentioned eariler. It can hit for 60 for one energy, which is pretty good. The only problem is that if there's a fire type Pokemon your opponent has in play, the attack only 20 rather than 60. Though this is a costly downside, you can make this up by playing Kingdra LA along with it.

Overall 7/10 in modified, 7/10 in limited, and 4/10 in unlimited

In modified, this card is the reason why Kingdra has made a comeback into our current format. The Poke-power is very useful right now, and the attack certainly can have potential. When paired with Kindgra LA, you have one pretty dangerous water deck that can, as of now, counter Jumpluff varients. The main problem with this card though is the weakness to Luxray GL, which happens to be the most popular card right now, so this prevents Kingdra from getting a 9/10 sadly.

In limited, this card can have just as much potential as it has in modified. The Poke-power can come into really good use, and the attack isn't that bad. The only essential problem is that there is no Kindgra LA here, so it will be hard to take down fire Pokemon, but honestly in my opinion, there aren't that many fire Pokemon in UL.

In unlimited, I think this card can be decent; once again, it is all thanks to the Poke-power, as well as the nice attack. Here though, although you can use Kindgra LA, you'll need to deal with lots of lightning Pokemon, so this prevents Kingdra Prime from becoming overly popular here in unlimited.

I have a pretty good idea with this card. Dialga with Time Aura to stop your opponent from evolving their pokemon and use this card and crobat G with 4 poketurn and SSU and just start sniping all the basics. It' a work in progress after but i'll build it after mai rayquaza C deck.

8/10 for those of you who feel like being creative with it.

Techs very well against Donphan. Donphan's Exoskeleton Pokebody makes kingdra loose the OHKO aspect for when you have to use Kingdra against a donphan. But if you manage to use a spray splash ahead of time on the donphan then use it again when your about to attack it then you can KO it. With the extra damage each turn with out the need for waisting space with crobats and waiting to draw into a Poketurn makes me think that crobat g is a bit obsolete.

I see Kingdra having more benefits then a crobat g tech

Kingdra (benefits)

High 130 HP

Evolved pokemon (Cannot be OHKOed by Machamp's "Take Out" attack)

1 energy attack that hits for 60 (80 w/ belt) with a sideback of doing only 20 when your opponent has 1 or more fire pokemon in play which dosen't really matter if you just tech Kingdra

Crobat G (benefits)

Slightly more versatile being searchable with Roseanne's, Collector, etc.

Free Retreat Cost

Resistance to Fighting -20 (which will not matter if your matchup is machamp)

Overall, I think kingdra's benefits outway Crobat G's benefits. You don't have to wait to draw into poketurn, can't be OHKOed by Take Out. They both have lighting weakness which is bad with Luxray being extra hot in the format. Only thing I notice is that your opponent must decide to waist a crobat g on your kingdra prime when they decide to "Flash Impact" you or put another energy on there luxray and discard another energy to use "Trash Bolt" (which most SP Decks run a low energy supply most of it not being searchable). While with crobat g with the same weakness and low HP can be OHKOed by luxray gl lv.x easy.

Modified Format 9.5/10

Unlimited 8/10

Limited 8/10

I hope my sig dosen't make this comment look biased cause my comment isn't biased....>_>...it really isn't...<_<

this ccard is way underestimated. if played right it can be real good. a flash every turn, and 60 for 1? the only fire that will be used against it is blaz fb x and it willl still kill it.
9/10

Overall, this is a really good card. 130 HP means that it will probably last more than one turn. 1 for 60 with no discarding is great, and it would be rarely reduced to 20 because the only fire Pokemon that see play these days are Blaziken FB and Entei/Raikou LEGEND, both of which the LA Kingdra takes care of quite nicely. Spray Splash is great, allowing you to use a "Flash Bite" every turn. You can stack them, so it is possible to do 40 damage a turn and still have your attack. The only thing that really hurts this card is Luxray GL, which can be dealt with by Donphan Prime. 8/10
