2010-8-5 Garchomp C SV 60
[/gal]

This card is great and the basic pokemon of one of the best cards in format - not more to say
10/10

First Yeah!

10/10 Great Card! Attach a DCE and it's first turn 30 or first turn Garchomp lv x with BTS.

By the way I got a question what does Limited vs Unlimited mean? Isn't Unlimited where you can use any card ever created? (Just curious because I here those terms a lot in COTD section).

Lol you can't get T1 Garchomp C LV.X with BTS - Remember BTS allows to evolve NOT to level-up!
Yh you can use all cards ever printed in unlimited....
back to the topic.
Darkmot.

There are a couple of exceptions.

Anyway this card is not really spectacular in and of itself, but the ability to do 50 T1 is certainly appealing. I doubt it would actually see play were it not for Garchomp C Lv. X.

Still, 4/10 alone.
9/10 for its cooperation with Garchomp C Lv. X.

Really? What exceptions?
Anyways, nothing too special alone, but amazing when you level it up.

everyone that is saying this card is 10/10 you obviously dont know how to rate a card.
please tell me one great thing about this card..

1 retreat is normal, x2 weakness to colorless is okay, clawswipe 2 for 30 is bad, 3 for 50 and 10 to bench is okay.
but this card standing alone is not a 10. more like a 6/10 at the most. Were not rating Garchomp C Lv. X so please think while you are rating.

This card is pretty efficient stand-alone (i.e. without its Lv. X). It can do 30 or 50 damage on turn one easily, and with all the SP support (as well as its Lv. X), it can do well.

However, the card isn't strong enough in & of itself without having the Lv. X.

80 HP is good for a basic, and average for an SP basic.
C Weakness isn't too bad.
No resistance is meh
Retreat Cost is good.

Being able to attach a DCE, or C + Gain for 30 is decent turn 1.

DCE + Gain for 50 and 10 to your bench is meh, but it can be combo'd with the Lv. X's healing so it's not all that bad.

In the end, this card evolves into probably the most useful card of this format (or one of them, at least), so you've gotta give it that.

4/5.

This card is not bad for the basic of its lvX. It can do 30 damage for :colorless: :colorless:, first turn with help of energy gain and energy or DCE. Next turn, for one more :colorless: (total of :colorless: :colorless: :colorless:) it can do 50, but has drawback of hurting your bench. Not a bad attack, and can be used T2. It can also be used after leveling up when dragon rush is not needed yet, or if this card is awaiting to be leveled.
Its a good card, capable of early damage with SP support and DCE, and has a very nice lvX. However, it wouldn't be used if it wasn;t for the lv X.

It's 10/10 because of the Lv. X. Otherwise it's 5/10. Because it has {C}x2 weakness, 1 retreat and its attack damages the bench. The only reason to use it is to use the X...not that it isn't enough of a reason.

I think im only pokemon who dosent play this in of there decks yea....well this card is a overated card that can get you in trouble with an energy situation if you dont have claydoll just to let you know i had a person who had probles with that today i won aginst him but yes this is a good card.

To all who are saying "OMG best card everz" its not with the Lv.X it's based on this card alone.

On Topic:
Garchomp C is a good card reasons being it's colorless any energy will do, plus it's SP in a format where the most popular decks are infact SP. Garchomp C's attacks are just a hair above average, it can use DCE all day and with Energy-Gain out there it's a quick attacker. 80 HP is decent, 1 retreat is normal it's SP so x2 is a given.

Modified: 6.5/10

HP: Okay to bad. +1
Weakness: Could be worse, but could also be mmuuuuch better. +.5
Resistance: What Resistance +0
First attack: Cheap with DCE and EG floating around (esp with Energy Exchange Unit.) Some Donk potential. +1.5
Second Attack: Still pretty cheap and with a great nrg to dmg output ratio. Seeing as how a deck with Garchomp is a deck with Crobat, GREAT donk potential. +2.5

FANTASTIC LV X = "priceless" (aka +3.5)
9/10

Running a bit late, but yesterday's CotD was Garchomp C from SV, a great card mainly because it levels up into the supremely useful Garchomp C Lv X. Statwise, 80 HP is inline with similar SP Pokemon, x2 Weakness to :colorless: is ok, no Resistance is common, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Claw Swipe is a tad pricey at :colorless::colorless: for 30, but Energy Gain makes it a cheap viable opening attack. Earthquake is in a similar boat as well, dealing a pricey 50 and 10 to all your Benched Pokemon for :colorless::colorless::colorless:, but becomes usable with Energy Gain attached.

Modified - 9/10 (Mainly because you need it to get to Garchomp C Lv X...he has serviceable attacks otherwise should you not want to use the snipe just yet)
Limited - 8/10 (Solid stats here, a decent big Basic that can be fit into any deck due to his :colorless: typing)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, just poor overpriced attacks and icky HP)

I like how Garchomp C can put up something of a fight without its Level X. Claw Swipe can donk Hoppips and Unown Qs, and Earthquake can take out an opposing Chomp C X with a Flash Bite. By itself, the card is not great, but since the Level X is amazing, this card gets an 8/10.

SP never played Dol.
